A. Definition of AI (Artificial Intelligence)
AI (Artificial Intelligence) is a computer science that enables to think or act in
“human” way. They will take all of the information from its surroundings and deciding
what they response based on what the problem is. They solve when they have been
learns or senses.
Many examples of AI is becoming a bigger part in our lives, as the technology
will more and more developed and advanced. In short term and time, AI have great
ability to ‘learn’ from mistakes and change how they solve the same task in another
time. We can take a look in 1956, when some researchers and scientists were teaching
computers how to make decision like human and something like that. The scientists
developed their way around ‘machine learning’, in which robots were taught to learn
for themselves and remember their mistakes, instead of simply copying. With
algorithms which a big part of robots and machine, they will solve the problem
completely, even dangerous problems.
Many concept of Artificial Intelligence that applied such as machine learning,
deep learning, etc. These ways illustrate how AI can live the life like human being. For
the examples of AI that Sophia, the world’s first robot citizen that activated in
February, 2016. The program of Sophia is ELIZA, which one can answer the question
until specific question like “Is the door open or shut?”. David Hanson, the creator of
Sophia, said an interview that she will advocate for women’s right in her new country
with her citizenship. In December, 2018, Sophia was appointed a Belt and Road
Innovative Technology Ambassador by China. In other words, Sophia want to protect
humanity.
B. Function of Artificial Intelligence
Certainly, AI have several functions, that are :
1. Automation
Many industry have their priority target to make it compete with other industry.
Some of industry have their same priority target, that is how they increase their
productivity in each industry. One way to increase their productivity is make all of the
process in the industry activity automatically. Machine, computer, and artificial
intelligence is the answer to solve this problem. They can automatically work without
any instructions from humans, they work only with program. Also, they can quickly
adapt with any changing and repetitive to do the tasks.
2. Machine Learning
Machine Learning is revolutionary idea, which is they use data to improve the
algorithm and make process data better in the future. The significant arm of machine
learning is Neural Networks, that store data, learn from it, and improve their ability to
sort new data.
3. Deep Learning
In deep learning Neural Networks are arranged into sprawling network with a
large number of layer that will trained using massive amount data.
4. Machine Vision
Computer can capture from mounted camera and converts them from analog to
digital. Machine vision methode often seek to simulate human eye.
5. Natural Language Processing (NLP)

NLP technique (including voice recognition, text translation and sentiment
analysis ) that will allow computer to comprehend human language to speech.
C. Advantages and Disadvantages of AI

In a few days, AI have high incredible precision, accuracy, and speed. Because
AI manage with the code, AI have a low error rate compared to humans. AI can
complete dangerous problem that would kill us as humans. It can be mining and
digging fuels. AI can replace humans in many danger places of work, too.
In easy ways, AI would predict what code will they use to solve the problem. AI
can think without any emotions and decide some decisions without any mistaken. At
the end, AI will be the busiest things because they don’t need to sleep, rest, get
entertained, and take breaks as they don’t get bored or tired. Not like humans,
everything in our body will have limit because we can feel bored or tired when we do
some tasks.
Besides of that, AI have many problems that it will be disadvantages for us as
humans. AI can only work what they were programmed for, so that it can’t be work
outside of the program. If AI broken, it will take a lot of money to rebuild and repair
them. Also, it will reduce time for the humans to fix them. AI also doesn’t know about
moral and ethical so they don’t care about how to say something if the AI can talk with
us.
Later on, AI will replace many jobs that cause many people become
unemployment. It can make humans become too dependent and lose their mental
capacities, too. Many humans also fear with the AI because if they put in the wrong
hands, it will easily lead to destruction so it will be supercede humans, even enslaving
us.
Many things have two side, positive side and negative bad. It depends on how
they work around us, especially artificial intelligence. AI can bring many positive side
if they put in the right hand and vice versa.
D. Should be Welcomed or Afraid?
In this things were cannot choosing which part it true but people have a different
prospective were can explain all of that :
A. Welcome
Why we have to welcome because we are live in developed country which mean
we have go grow our technology . For the example is robot that can help us easy to do
anything that we need and robot can start by program. So robot never tired because
they always changing by electricity, differently with human and make people easy
when they need something in the perfect timing.
B. Afraid
Why we afraid of IA? because if we agree with this automatically minimum jobs
opportunity human. Robot will capable to enslave people for our job because robot is
work by program it means robot always right and in the perfect time to do something
different with human because now our industry need progress is more effective than
before so they using robot for making something thats why we have to be afraid of this
in this case.
