1. List specific data that the school collects about each student. What information could be

○ The title of the movie, date it was released, the name of the actors are all
data that can all be put together to become an information when trying to
carry out a research
● hospital/healthcare
○ The name of a patient, his medication list, scheduled date and time,
problem list and diagnosis are examples of data. When they are put
together it becomes information because it give details about the patient.
5. Using this Lunch Room Data Report, answer the questions that follow.
a. What does this report mean?
i. A sales report of a lunch room/canteen.
b. What data was collected?
i. Student sales, Faculty/Staff Sales, Hamburger/Taco bar, Pizza bar, and
Soup/Salad Bar
c. What information does this table provide from the data collected?
i. The total of student and faculty/staff bought in the lunch room, and the quantity of
food/item bought by student and faculty/staff.
d. How do you think this information is used by those reading the report?
i. To monitor the daily sales and to track the inventory of the lunch room.
e. Generate at least two conclusions based on the data provided.
i. Most bought item is the hamburger/taco bar, on 12/06/2003 all of data
decreases.
f. Generate at least two questions that you would about the data provided
i. What is the sales in month?
ii. How many stocks left to make a Hamburger/Taco bar, Pizza bar, and
Soup/Salad Bar?
