1. Open Print Preview: Click the Microsoft Office Button and run your mouse
over the Print button. The Print Menu will appear to the right. From this menu,
click the Print Preview button. Once you open Print Preview, a ribbon with
Heading Print Preview appears.
2. View the Print Options: Under the Print Setup heading, click the arrow to open
the menu under the option Print What:. In this menu, your print options will
show up. These options include: Slides, Handouts, Notes Pages and Outline
View.
3. Printing Handouts: With the Handouts option, you have the choice of printing
1-9 slides per page. Printing Notes Pages: The Notes Pages option will print
out each slide with your personal notes

Ans. The header is a section of the document that appears in the top margin, while
the footer is a section of the document that appears in the bottom margin. Headers

etc which help at the time of printing documents.

Appointment reminders – Automatically reminds participants of an upcoming


Meetings.

Availability sharing – this feature allows users to share their availability with others

Availability and capacity checking – Check the availability of all other employee
and resource calendars in the group.
Calendar publishing – some calendaring tools allow the user to publish select
calendar information on a public link

Calendar exporting – Users are allowed to export selected calendars into various file
formats, including Calendar standard.

Collaborative scheduling – the capability of the software to check schedules and


propose meeting times to all of the participants.

Customization – This feature allow users to customize several available features


such as: email appointment remainders, calendar.viewing default, workweek and
work hours display, etc.

E-mail – an electronic mail communication system. This can be tied into the
appointment calendar to send reminders and notify the participants of issues arising
with scheduled meetings.

1. Click on Office Button and select New


2. From the New Document Dialog box select My templates for using your own

Q.22 What are Clip Arts? Differentiate between Linking and Embedding
an object.

Ans. Clip Arts –


Clip art is a collection of pictures or images that can be imported into a document or
another program. The images may be either raster graphics or vector graphics. Most
clip art is royalty free, meaning you can use the images without paying royalties to
the creators of the images.

Difference –

Embedding an object in the media item places a copy of the original object (Word
document, image file, etc.) into the database. When the original document/object
have some changed it never effects the Embedded Contents.

Linking to an object-

In Linking, when adding a media object adds a path to the original object, instead of
embedding a copy of the object in the database. When the original document/object
have some changed it directly effects the Linked Contents
