• Football
The duration of the match will be 40 minutes
(with 2 halves of 20 minutes each). In case of a
tied game post 40 minutes, the result will be
decided by a penalty shoot-out. Each team will
get 5 strikes each. If the tie still persists, sudden
death would be triggered. There is no limit on the
number of substitutions per game and rolling
substitutions are allowed.
• Gully Cricket
There will be 6 overs per inning. In case of a tied
game, there will be a super over. In the super
over, each team gets 2 wickets. If the game
remains tied post the super over, another super
over will be played. Detailed rules will be
informed on the venue.
• Volleyball
The format of the game will be ‘Best of 3 sets’
with 15 points per set.
Sport-wise rules
• Basketball
The duration of the match will be 24 minutes (with 4
quarters of 6 minutes each). In case of a tied game
post 24 minutes, the result will be decided by an
overtime period of 2 minutes. This will continue till
the result is decided. There is no limit on the number
of substitutions per game and substitutions can be
made on dead balls.
• Frisbee
The duration of the match will be 40 minutes or 15
points whichever comes earlier. Halftime will be called
after 20 minutes or 7 points whichever comes earlier.
There is no limit on the number of substitutions per
game and substitutions can be made after every point.
• Badminton
There will be 1 each of men’s singles, women’s singles,
men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
Each game will be of ‘Best of 3 games’ format with 11
points each. One boy and one girl from each teamcan
play 2 games while every other players can play only
game each.
Sport-wise rules
• Dodgeball
The duration of the match will be 20 minutes (10
minutes for each team). 3 players will be in the circle
at a time. When the dodging team members are
eliminated, they will form a queue in the order of
their elimination. If all 14 members of the team are
eliminated, the eliminated players can return in the
order of elimination. The team that eliminates more
players wins.
• Tug of War
The team that wins 2 out of 3 rounds wins the game.
• Squash
There will be 2 men’s singles and 1 women’s singles
matches. The matches will be played in the ‘Best of 3
sets’ format with 11 points per set. One player can
play only one match.
• Table Tennis
There will be 2 men’s singles, 1 women’s singles, 1
men’s doubles and 1 women’s doubles. The matches
will be played in the ‘Best of 3 games’ format with 11
points per set. One boy and one girl can play 2 games
while others can play only one match each.
Sport-wise rules
• Poker
1 player from each section will play on a table. The
game will be a Hold’em Poker style game. The
winner of each table qualifies to the winners’ table.
The last person to lose their chips on the winners’
table is the runner-up and the person who doesn’t
lose the chips is declared the winner.
Pool
3 rounds will be played in the sequence- singles,
doubles, singles. The team that wins 2 out of 3
games wins. No player will be allowed to play more
than 2 games.
• 4x75m relay
• 3x1.3km relay
The route of the event will be disclosed separately
Sport-wise rules
• Tennis
One singles and one doubles match will be played.
If there is no result, another singles match will be
played. Each match will be of one set. In each game
there will be at most 2 deuces. Post that, there will
be sudden death. If the set score is 6-6, a tie-
breaker will be enforced.
• Handball
There will be 2 halves of 20 minutes each. If the
game ends in a tie, the result will be decided by
penalty shoot-outs with each team getting 5 throws
each. If the shoot-outs end in a tie, there will be
sudden death.
Rules to be Followed at All
Times
• SportsComm has the right to edit/add/modify any
rule without prior notice.
• Any instance of misconduct, violence or verbal
abuse may lead to the disqualification of the
entire section from Aakrosh.
