Admissions Eligib ility

o Applicants who have completed elementary, middle, and high

school or have attained equivalent level of education should

fulfill one of the following by the beginning of the semester for

the Fall admissions

- Foreign citizens whose parents are not Korean citizens

- Foreign or Korean citizens who have completed elementary,

middle, and high school outside of Korea and never enrolled

in any school(s) in Korea

o The quota for international admissions is not predetermined

and it may vary according to evaluation results.

Administration) when they apply. All the admitted students

belong to Division of General Studies during their freshman year.

o Students should declare their tracks at the end of their

freshman year.

o All the students are required to major in two or more tracks.

Two tracks can be chosen from the same school.

▸After evaluation of documents, all the applicants are decided to

Admission criteria

o Common criteria

- Based on all the submitted documents such as personal

statements, transcripts, and letter(s) of recommendation, UNIST

considers various factors comprehensively including academic

ability, personal accomplishments, study plan, vision and

potential when determining admission.

- Evaluation of the documents and telephone interview will be

conducted by two or more evaluators.

o Dossier evaluation

- After the evaluation of documents, all the applicants are

decided as "Accepted", "Interviewed", or "Rejected".

o Interview

- Telephone interview will be only given to the applicants

selected as interviewees

- After the interview, all interviewees are decided as "Accepted",

“Candidate” or "Rejected".

I mportant notice f or all the applicants

o If any of the submitted materials contains falsified information,

admissions may be rescinded.

o Students whose graduation is pending at other institutions during

the time of application should submit their graduation certificates

/ diplomas within 20 days of enrollment at UNIST. Failure to

submit these documents may result in their enrollment cancellation.

o All the submitted documents shall not be returned to the applicants.

o Even if the admitted give up enrolment in UNIST, the deposit

shall not be returned.

o Applicants should take full responsibilities for any mistakes or

omissions on the application.

o All the documents should be accompanied by a notarized English

translation.
