SCHEDULE - A
1. The Site
1.1 The project road starts from Sangareddy (near Kandi village) (498+250 Km of
NH-65 (old NH-9)) and ends at Km 44+757 (existing chainage) of NH-161. The
entire project road runs through Sangareddy district. The site shall include
land, buildings, structures & road works as described in Annex – 1 of this
Schedule – A
1.2 The dates of handing over the Right of Way to the Contractor are specified in
Annex-II of this Schedule-A.
1.3 An inventory of the Site including land, buildings, structures, road works, trees
and any other immovable property on, or attached to, the site shall be
prepared jointly by the Authority Representative and the Contractor, and such
inventory shall form part of the memorandum referred to in clause 10.3.1 of
the agreement.
1.4 Additional land required for construction of works specified in the Change of
Scope Order issued under clause 16.2.3 of this Agreement shall be acquired in
accordance with the provisions of Clause 10.3.6 of this Agreement. Upon
acquisition, such land shall form part of the Site and vest in the Authority.
1.5 The proposed alignment plans of the Project Highway are specified in Annex-III
which shall be followed by the Contractor with minimum finished roadway level
(FRL) as indicated in the alignment plan.

15. Bypasses: The details of the existing road sections proposed to be bypassed are
as follows:

The dates on which the Authority shall provide Right of Way to the Contractor on
different stretches of the Site are stated below:
Note: The Authority shall provide the Right of Way on no less than 90% (Ninety per
cent) of the total length of Project Highway on Appointed date in compliance to
Clause 8.2 of EPC Contract Agreement.
Annex-III

Alignment Plans
The existing alignment of the project highway shall be modified as per the enclosed
alignment plan. The profile of enclosed alignment plan of the project highway shall be
modified by the contractor at the following locations:
A. The length of service/slip roads proposed in clause 2.8 of schedule B shall also
be incorporated by the contractor in the profile of the project highway.
Annex-IV

Environment Clearances
The project highway is less than 100 km length and does not involve additional Right
of Way or land acquisition more than 40m on existing alignment and 60m on
Bypass/Realignments. Therefore, as per MOEF notification No. S.O.2559(E) dated
22.08.2013, environmental clearance is not required.

Rehabilitation and augmentation shall include Four Lane with Paved shoulders
configuration as described in Annex-I of this Schedule-B and in Schedule-C.
Annex-I
(Schedule-B)
1.1 The Project Highway shall follow the existing alignment unless otherwise
specified by the Authority and shown in the alignment plans specified in Annex
III of Schedule-A. Geometric deficiencies, if any, in the existing horizontal and
vertical profiles shall be corrected as per the prescribed standards for
plain/rolling terrain to the extent land is available.
Four-Laning with paved shoulders shall be undertaken. The paved carriageway
shall be as specified in the Para 2.11 of this Annex-I of Schedule-B.
Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, the width of the paved
carriageway and cross-sectional features shall conform to paragraph 1.2.1
above.
2.1 General: Geometric design and general features of the Project Highway shall
be in accordance with Section 2 of the Manual.
2.2 Design Speed: The design speed shall be the minimum design speed of 80 km
per hour for plain/rolling terrain.
2.3.1 In the following sections, where improvement of the existing road geometrics
to the prescribed standards is not possible, the existing road geometrics shall
be improved to the extent possible within the given right of way and proper
road signs and safety measures shall be provided:
2.3.3 Bypasses: The existing road shall be bypassed to the standards as specified in
the manual at the following locations:
2.4 Right of Way: Details of the Right of Way are given in Annex II of
Schedule-A.
(b) In open country, paved shoulders of 1.5 m width shall be provided and balance
2.0m width shall be covered with approved material.
(c) Design and specifications of paved shoulders shall conform to the requirements
specified in paragraphs 5.10 of the Manual.
2.7.1 Lateral and Vertical clearances at over passes shall be as per paragraph 2.11 of
the Manual.
2.7.2 Lateral clearance: The width of the opening at the Overpasses shall be as
follows:

5 PAVEMENT DESIGN
5.1 Pavement design shall be carried out in accordance with Section 5 of the
Manual.
Flexible Pavement for Main Carriageway shall be designed for minimum design
traffic of 50 MSA for a minimum design period of 15 years. However, minimum
thickness of Subgrade, Granular Sub-Base, Wet-Mix Macadam, DBM and BC in
flexible pavement shall be 500 mm, 200 mm, 250 mm, 100 mm and 40 mm
respectively.
Flexible Pavement for slip roads and service roads shall be designed for
minimum design traffic of 10 MSA. However, minimum thickness of Subgrade,
Granular Sub-Base, Wet-Mix Macadam, DBM and BC in flexible pavement shall
be 500 mm, 200 mm, 250 mm, 60 mm and 40 mm respectively.
Rigid pavement shall be designed for minimum CVPD of 181221590. However,
minimum thickness of subgrade, GSB, DLC and PQC in rigid pavement shall be
500mm, 150mm, 150mm and 300mm respectively.
5.2 Type of pavement
Flexible pavement is proposed for main carriageway as well as service/slip roads
for the entire project length. Rigid pavement shall be provided for Toll Plaza
location.
5.3 Design requirements:
Shall be as specified in the Manual.
The entire length of the project highway shall be reconstructed from subgrade
level after raising of the road with earth/suitable material.
6 ROADSIDE DRAINAGE
Drainage system including surface and subsurface drains for the Project
Highway shall be provided as per Section 6 of the Manual.
7 DESIGN OF STRUCTURES
7.1 General
7.1.1 All bridges, culverts and structures shall be designed and constructed in
accordance with Section 7 of the Manual and shall conform to the cross-
sectional features and other details specified therein.
7.1.2 Width of the carriageway of proposed bridges and structures shall be as given
in para 7.3 of this Schedule-B.
7.1.5 The structures shall be designed to carry utility services as per site
requirement.
7.1.6 Cross-section of the new culverts and bridges at deck level for the Project
Highway shall conform to the typical cross-sections given in Section 7 of the
Manual.
7.2 Culverts
7.2.1 Overall width of all culverts shall be equal to the roadway width of the
approaches. All culverts shall also be provided in median gap and also in gap
between main carriageway and service road, in case there is any service road.

7.3.3 The railings of existing bridges shall be replaced by crash barriers at the

8.1 Traffic control devices and road safety works shall be provided in accordance
with Section 9 of the Manual.
9 ROADSIDE FURNITURE
9.1 Roadside furniture shall be provided in accordance with the provisions of the
Section 9 of the Manual.
Excluding overhead signs and other signs at Toll Plaza location which are to be
provided as per Manual of Specifications and Standards as referred in Schedule-
D, the location of these facilities shall be finalized in consultation with
Authority Engineer/Project Director, NHAI as per site requirement. However,
minimum 2 nos. gantry overhead signs for 4-lane width and minimum 28 nos.
cantilever signs for one carriageway excluding Toll Plaza location shall be
provided.

13 CHANGE OF SCOPE
The length of Structures and bridges specified herein above shall be treated as
an approximate assessment. The actual lengths as required on the basis of
detailed investigations shall be determined by the Contractor in accordance with
the Specifications and Standards. Any variations in the lengths specified in this
Schedule-B shall not constitute a Change of Scope, save and except any
variations in the length arising out of a Change of Scope expressly undertaken in
accordance with the provisions of Article 13.
Annex-II
SCHEDULE – C
C. PROJECT FACILITIES
Project Facilities
The Contractor shall construct the Project Facilities in accordance with the
provisions of this Agreement. Such Project Facilities shall include:
(ii) One Helipad shall be constructed in the Project Corridor. The location
shall be finalized in consultation with Authority Engineer/Project
Director, NHAI.
(iii) A separate toilet facilities for road users shall be provided near toll
plaza location along with parking facility. One toilet block on each
direction shall be provided as per drawing at Annex-I of Schedule-C.
These toilet facilities shall follow CPWD specifications for sanitary ware
items and fittings such as EWC, Wash Basin, Wash basin- Under counter,
Urinal flat back, PVC Cistern, IWC Orissa Pan, Flush Value –CP, Wash
Basin pillar cock –CP, Bib Cock –CP, Health Faucet, W/c Bib cock, Wash
Basin angle cock.
(b) Road side furniture: The roadside furniture shall be as per Section 9 of the
manual and shall include
i. Traffic Signs: Traffic signs shall include roadside signs, overhead signs, kerb
mounted signs and road marking along the project highway.
ii. Pavement Markings: Shall cover road marking for the entire Project highway
iii. LED Traffic Blinkers: Shall be provided at Intersections for the entire project
highway
vi. Barbed wire fencing: Shall be provided for Entire Project highway.
vii. Hectometer / Kilometer Stones: Shall be provided for Entire Project highway.
(c) Location of Pedestrian facilities: shall include the provision of the Pedestrian
crossing as per manual.
(e) Truck lay byes: shall be provided at following locations as per manual:

D. SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS
1 Construction
The Contractor shall comply with the Specifications and Standards set forth
in Annex-I of this Schedule-D for construction of the Project Highway.
2 Design Standards
Manual of Specifications & Standards for four laning of Highways through PPP
IRC:SP:84-2014, referred to herein as the manual.

All Materials, works and construction operations shall conform to the Manual of
Specifications and Standards for Four laning of Highways (IRC:SP:84-2014),
referred to as the Manual, and MORTH Specifications for Road and Bridge Works.
Where the specification for a work is not given, Good Industry Practice shall be
adopted to the satisfaction of the Authority’s Engineer.
2.2 Not withstanding anything to the contrary contained in Paragraph 1 above, the
following Specifications and Standards shall apply to the Project Highway, and for
purposes of this Agreement, the aforesaid Specifications and Standards shall be
deemed to be amended to the extent set forth below:

Similarly, the rates per km for other stages shall be worked out accordingly.
Note: The length affected due to law and order problems or litigation during
execution due to which the Contractor is unable to execute the work, may be
deducted from the total project length for payment purposes. The total length
calculated here is only for payment purposes and will not affect and referred in
other clauses of the Contract Agreement.
Procedure for estimating the value of Minor Bridges and Underpasses/Overpasses shall be
as stated in table 1.3.2:
