    There are three ways to look at this concept. Either the indigenous peoples were the first
    people to ever occupy this land, they have occupied it far longer than any other or they are
    the current occupants when another people desire to occupy it.

    #1 occurs thru original discovery.

    #2 occurs thru longevity.

    #3 occurs thru current occupational status.

    Most of the indigenous peoples across this planet fit the third designation.

    However, none of these designations will forestall a more advanced aggressive people that
    desire to possess this land.
