A crow perishing with thirst saw a pitcher, and hoping to find water,
Flew to it with delight. When he reached it, he discovered to his grief that it contained
so little water that he could not possibly get at it. He tried everything he could think of to

could carry and dropped them one by one with his beak into the pitcher, until he brought
the water within his reach and thus, saved his life.

Salmon are born in fresh water but travel to salt water to live their lives and then travel
back upstream to where they spawn more salmon before they die. Salmon travelling
upstream are very determined to get back to where they were born. They fight against
currents, whirlpools, and waterfalls; even though man has placed some obstacles in the
salmon’s way by building dams or rivers. Once the salmon reaches its birthplace, it lays
eggs. These eggs hatch, and the process begins again.
Justin was always prepared. His motto was “never throw anything out, you never know
when it might come in handy.” his bedroom was so full of flat bicycle tires, bent tennis
rackets, deflated basketball, and games with missing pieces that you could barely get in the

Six major concepts try to steer our way of life so as to unite the present with the past
and make us collarborate with one another.
Solidarity is in fact the key to start this new way of life. Past generations and
generations to come need to respect each other and the planet, and care for the
community of life. One should never benefit from something now, which will eventually
have a problematic effect on future generations. A practical example is that of genetic
engineering. This technology opens up a new dimension for the world. It makes alteration
of DNA possible. The immediate effects are very positive as they, for example, can make a
plant produce more seeds and furthermore, no pests will feed on them. Yet, the downside
to all these will only be seen in the future. Once the structure of DNA is altered, it would be
impossible to change. Another negative impact that future beings will face is the fracture of
the feeding cycle. Therefore,it is essential for to protect one another,as all generations
interrelated, which means that what ever happens today speak about the relationship of the
present with past amd future generations.
To live in God’s wondrous creation is the blessing to be thinkful for. Oftentimes, we tend
to ignore the magic it brings us, but let us not forget that what it offers us generates a great
change; a chnge that surely makes difference in our very own existence.

count's copse that lies dark blue in the distance which is about a mile and a half away. Fyokla leads
Terenty into a thicket, and, after going a quarter of a mile, points to Danilka. There they saw the
little fellow with hair as red as ocher and a pale sickly face, standing leaned against the tree, with
his head on one side, looking sideways at the sky. In one hand he holds his shabby old cap, the
other is hidden in an old lime tree. Terenty immediately snaps off the broken piece to release
Danilka's hand which is red and crushed.

STATION 3
The author in The Story of Keesh used an english Old
style. This be seen in some lines of the story for
instance, the word “Thou” which means “you”. A
nother one is by using figurative language like “ The
anger boiled a white heat”.
STATION 4
The author wants us to be reminded that every
sacrifice should not be forgotten. This is an essential
truth that one should bear in mind. The fact that we
should appreciate every sacrifice of a person and that
we should not be judgement towards others is a
random realization int the story.
STATION 5
Good deeds should not be left forgotten. We should
learn how to appreciate one’s sacrifice and that we
should not judge other people base on what we see
and others tell. These are the moral values that we can
get from the story of keesh.

How are the words/phrases in the selection loaded with connotation, association, or
emotional impact? You may write words associated with them in context.
a. How did the writer develop the overall style of the poem?
( figurative language, point of view, literary techniques, punctuation, shifts, etc. )
The author used figurative language in some of the stanzas and literary techniques such as
diction in most of the poem.
1. Why was the poem entitled “AUTUMN”? what ideas and/or feeling/s does the title
evoke?
-Sadness yet inspired.Because autumn is a season that all plants loss their leaves and
flowers,if you compare it to your life, there are always problems that make you down, but
always, the SPRING for your life wilp help you to restart again and continue leaving.
2. Autumn is described as in-between summer and winter. What things/events could best
represent these two seasons?
-Autumn falls between summer and winter.
During summer season, temperature increases. Weather becomes warm. If the
temperature spikes too high, it brings heat waves or drought. Forest fires become more
frequent too.
Winter season brings cold wind and chills living organisms. It brings cold rains and in other
areas ice in the form of snow. Leaves will fall and tree branches become bare. Animals
migrate to warmer weather and some change its appearance to adapt to the change in
temperature.
Autumn is the season where summer season dies down and winter season rise up.
3. How would you relate the title of the poem to what is happening now to the earth?
-Autumn is a kind of season in between summer and winter(after summer and before
winter) where trees are starting to lose their leaves. Many people are thinking that when
trees lose their leaves, it means they are starting to die. The same thing with our world
nowadays. Current events are getting worse. Crime, corruption, poverty, viral disease, wars,
and many others are being normal in our eyes. But this doesn't mean an end. Just like the
Autumn season, trees are losing their leaves but not their life primarily. We are now seeing
these awful things but this doesn't mean an end to us also. There is a spring season. And
there is a hope that we look forward to.
5. Did you realize that even nature has its own limits? How do you deal with this? Relate it
to real-life situations by sharing your own, personal experience/s.
-I always taught myself that even nature has its own limit. Sometimes in our lives we kept
on letting others to take advantage on us, but once we reached the point that you'll
realized that it's too much, you'll let yourself stay away from them. Like nature, if we keep
on cutting the trees in illegal way, disaster is the feedback into us. we can also relate it to
our natural mineral resources.
Task 8 COME, CHECK IT OUT!
An antecedent is the word that prounoun refers to. Lets check if you know how to
identify the antecedents in the following poem. Underline every pronoun in the poem an
