Figure 3 represents the metal thickness gauge used for the determination of
aggregates elongation index. A metal length gauge indicates the standard length
for a specific material for the purpose of determining the elongation index of the
particular material.

Figure 4 represents the mechanical sieve shaker with BS test sieve , arranged in
descending order as 50.0 mm, 37.5mm, 28mm , 20mm, 14mm, 10mm, 6.3mm
respectively. Generally, typical sieve shaker separates particles by passing them
through a series of chambers with mesh filters and agitating the sample in order
to obtain complete separation.
