II. COURSE NAME: INTODUCTION TO EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH
III. COURSE CREDIT: 3 UNITS
IV. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course introduces the students the process of developing a research paper. It is a Modularized from which
research has been made easy and interesting. Module 1 gives the students a background on what a research paper is;
Its characteristics, types, methods, tools and steps in writing a research paper. Module 2 guides them on how to choose
a subject. Module 3 deals with the skimming, Scanning summarizing, note taking and organizing their notes. Module 4
prepares the students on how to write the preliminaries and bibliography as well as on how to acknowledge their
sources. Module 5 provides explanations in drafting a research statement and the “how’s” of outlining. Module 6 aids
the students in organizing and ancelyzing their collected data. Module 7 discusses the steps in writing their drafts; the
guidelines in revising and proofreading to have the final draft.
