General Hardware Description
The MRS3000D wideband receiver consists of
an RF front end for block down-conversion of
the received spectrum connected to a Digital
Signal Processor in a computer workstation.

The RF signal at the antenna is routed to the

wide band front end. The Intermediate
Frequency (IF) signal is sampled and
processed by the Digital Signal Processing
equipment, which includes calculating real-
time Fast Fourier Transforms (FFT). Wideband and zoomed waterfalls with amplitude
spectra and control panel dialogs, simultaneous VHF
hopper signals shown.
The detection algorithm is performed in real
time on the DSP processors. The operator may set the scanning limits in the
wideband controls, adjust the gain settings or

User Interfaces
The user interface software runs under the
Windows® operating system on a computer
workstation. The typical displays show the
instantaneous (zoom) window with a time-
waterfall display as well as a wide band
scanning window with a similar time-waterfall
display.
