2. Work before attending university’

It is understandable to think that taking a year between finishing high school and starting
university studies might be a good think to do. For starters, both working are activities
that provide experiences of some sort to anyone, and doing so, should give the student a
new perspective on his or her life.
A high school student is 18 at the time he has to enter university. At that age, one could
think that he is too young to work. But far from being truth, starting a job will prove to be
something good in the future, as long as it isn't a stressful and slavering job. By the time
the young boy is ready to begin his university studies, he will be more responsible, more
experienced and aware of what he wants to do with his life.
If instead of working, he wants to travel, although not making as much money as if he
worked, the experience wouldn't be any disappointing. Learning about other cultures can
help you grow a critical view about your own, and be ready to face changes and obstacle
during your life.
Although I agree with the premise, I don't think it should be encouraged to take more
time. If this happens, there is a chance that the student loses focus and forgets about the
university. While making a career in the workplace would be great, we should encourage
young and capable students to achieve a higher level of education even if they already
have a job.
With all that, and with the expressed opinion about the duration, I agree that it should be
encouraged for young people to work for timebetween finishing high school and starting
university studies, so we can build a better life for the citizens of the future.

How are you? Thanks for your letter. I am so happy because you always miss and think
of me. Now, I am working as a teacher in the English center. I start my working day at 7
pm every morning and finish it at 5 pm. You know I love this job, right? It has been my
dream to become a good teacher for such a long time. I like my job because I can use my
ability and knowledge to finish my work the best. Moreover, I can study valuable
experience from colleagues not only about work but also about life. Now every day is
wonderful day with me. And you, your job is very interesting, isn't it? Let you tell me
about it in the next letter.

Hi Alice,
How’s it going? I was very busy this week. But. You know, I miss you so much.
Although it’s just a short time since we last saw each other, it feels much longer. Thank
you so much not only for such a memorable holiday but also for the lovely photos that
you sent of our holiday together. It brought it all back to me so vividly. I think, staying
with you and seeing where you live, was a real eye-opener. Australia is certainly a scenic
country with remarkable landscape and wildlife, particular up in the north where you are.
Sorry, it has taken me so long to write back and thank you. Almost as soon as we landed
back in the UK, my mother became sick and we’ve been running around looking after
her. She seems to be improving now, though, and hopefully will be back to normal soon.

1. Intership
A professional job mostly begins with an university education. The university helps us
gain necessary knowledge and skills for our future careers. However, in addition to the
structure knowledge it offers, I believe they should equip students with more practical
knowledge as well for several reasons.
Firstly, students will stand better chances to apply what they have just learned when
doing internship in education program. The theory is only valuable when applied, and
applying theory is not an easy skill. Therefore, when the students work while they are
studying, they can practice application skill, making the theory is useful. It also gives
them a sense of purpose in what they are learning and fosters their interest . Moreover,
when applying, knowledge can be retained for much longer.
Secondly, real life can be vastly different from what is taught in books . While books
teach about the equation, theory, laws..., experience is what matters in life . Hence,
working while studying helps students get some working experience. It will equip them
with a more complete skill set, consisting both knowledge and experience combined .
And so on, they will begin their job better.
Finally, doing internship programmes in university helps students have some soft
skills, such as team working, colleague communication, negotiation, and risk
management. ... these essential skills can be learnt only when they work in real
life, which is not in any book.
Therefore, the student doing internship when studying will be better prepared for future
careers than the student who do not.
To sum up, I concur that the university should include internship or training program. By
this way, the student can apply what they have just learned, add working experience to
more complete the major knowledge, and have chance to get some useful soft skills for
the future working environment. Therefore, they will prepare better for the their careers

The idea that, besides making money, enterprises also need to have public responsibilities
remains a source of controversy. In my opinion, while generating profit is the top priority
for each company, I agree that they should also conduct their business in a socially
responsible manner.
On the one hand, the efforts of companies to maximise their profits may have some
benefits for society as a whole. [1] Firstly, the higher the profits earned by enterprises, the
more taxes they pay to the government. As a result, authorities may have more revenue
to spend in key fields, including education and health care, which leads to an
improvement in the quality of life of the whole community. [2] Secondly, by earning
huge profits companies have the opportunity to grow their business. For example, firms
could use their capital to expand their production, creating new job opportunities within
the community.
On the other hand, there are strong reasons why businesses should also accept that they
have social responsibilities. [1] The first reason is that their activities have an effect on
the environment. Without controls, production processes may result in serious
environmental degradation, such as global warming stemming from factory emissions or
the irresponsible disposal of industrial waste. For example, if factories installed waste
treatment systems instead of discharging chemical wastes into rivers, water pollution
could be controlled. [2] Another reason is that enterprises should help those who are less
fortunate, since they have the money to do so.
In conclusion, although I recognise that making profits is the fundamental principle of
business, I would argue that all businesses should profoundly reflect upon their social
responsibilities.

Whether to work under someone or to own establishment is very sensitive and complex
decision. Some analysts insist that working for the company is superior in oppose to
being self-employed. Other, however, have opposite viewpoint for the same situation. I
personally believe that having own business is best decision to earn livelihood.
Starting own businesses is the dream of many people despite the obstacles that they will
need to overcome. First of all, they can establish a trade that they are interested in, rather
than wasting time in monotonous jobs. This nature of work can bring immeasurable
profits for the owner rather than being living in state of concern which further may
become a cause of stress. In addition to this, owning a business may bring autonomy to
operate the work. For example, many people around the world are operating their
businesses with the aid of telecommunication which provide them an ease to serve in
home tasks simultaneously. However, the drawback is that they do not get as much
support as working for a company, because the resources for this kind of employment are
usually limited.
In contrary, Working for a company or organization is also a good way for those who
like to follow the rules and do what they are asked to do. The advantages of this kind of
work are enormous, such as good training, professionalism, essence of work culture and
hefty compensation. Nonetheless, people who work in such environments can get bored
in their job sooner or later because their tasks rarely change in a long period regardless
how hard they work.
In conclusion, it can be very enjoyable either to work for ourselves or to work for a
company, although there might be some extra advantages of choice and flexibility in
owning a business. Being an employee of a company or self-employed can be very
exciting. So, it should be left on individual to decide the avenues of generating his
livelihood.

Recently I had availed your insurance service and had a wonderful time in the Perth trip.
I am writing this letter to inform you that I have lost my professional cannon camera
during the trip.
We stayed in Perth for three days and I had clicked so many amazing pictures. Luckily,
before leaving for the airport I transferred all the pictures to my laptop. I clearly
remember that we clicked our last picture at the entrance of the hostel and left for the
airport. I wanted to capture last moments of our journey so I was looking for my camera
and unfortunately, I could not find it. I called to the hotel staff to look for it where we
took our last photo but he confirmed that he could not find it.
As per the travel insurance, I am entitled to receive the coverage of the lost item. It was
cannon PT-1611 model camera which is hard to get due to its high demand. I would like
to claim for the camera's original price as it was a fairly new camera. I would appreciate
if you could transfer the money into my account.
