DESCRIPTION: Changed maximum installed gap from “0.005” inch to “0.010” inch in NOTE.

B. Install keyway liners on inboard wheel subassembly as follows (Ref. Figure 602):

(1) Position keyway liner (290) on inboard wheel subassembly, as shown in Figure 602.
Align rivet holes with tab extension on ends of liner against wheel keyliner slot.

NOTE: Edge of liner must be flush with edge of wheel flange. The maximum
installed gap between liner and edge of slot in wheel flange is 0.010 inch
(0,254 mm).

CAUTION: ♦ SHOP (PEENED) HEAD OF RIVET MUST BE ON OUTSIDE OF KEY-

WAY LINER.
♦ UNDER CONTROLLED FACTORY CONDITIONS, A ONE--TIME AP-
PLICATION OF THE SHOP (PEENED) HEAD AGAINST THE INNER
WHEEL SURFACE WOULD CREATE LITTLE IF ANY DAMAGE TO
WHEEL. HOWEVER, UNDER REPEATED APPLICATIONS AND VARI-
OUS RIVETING METHODS USED IN THE FIELD, IT IS PREFERRED
TO HAVE SHOP (PEENING) OF RIVET HEAD DONE AGAINST THE
HARDER STEEL KEYWAY LINER SURFACE.
