    What are prepositions?

    Prepositions are words that specify place, direction, and time.


    There are three types of prepositions.

    Prepositions of Time: at, in, on

    We use:

    • at for a PRECISE TIME


    • in for MONTHS, YEARS, CENTURIES and LONG PERIODS
    • on for DAYS and DATES

    At in on

    PRECISE MONTHS, YEARS, CENTURIES and DAYS and


    TIME LONG PERIODS DATES

    at 3 o'clock in May on Sunday

    at 10.30am in summer on Tuesdays

    at noon in the summer on 6 March

    One of the difficulties my students (10 students) often


    encounter when learning English is they can’t understand about
    preposition especially they can’t classified Prepositions of Time: at, in,
    on.
