Detailed Lesson Plan in Arts: Arts of the Renaissance and Baroque Period

Content Standard: The arts as integral to the development of organizations, spiritual


belief, historical events, scientific discoveries, natural
disasters/occurrences, and other external phenomena.
Performance
Standard: Recognizes the differences and uniqueness of the art styles of the
different periods (techniques, process, elements, and principles of art)
Learning
Competencies & Identify distinct characteristics of arts during the Renaissance and
Baroque periods.

I-Objectives:
At the end of one (1) hour, the students are expected to:
A. Distinguish the distinct characteristics of arts during the Renaissance and Baroque periods;
B. Perform by mimicking selected artworks with its unique characteristics and elements (i.e., the
form, message and value); and
C. Reflect on the message emanating from the selected artworks of the Renaissance and Baroque
periods.

and symmetry.
