LESSON PLAN IN TEACHING CHILDREN RHYMING WORDS (USING NURSERY RHYMES) FOR KINDER 2

I. Objective
Cognitive- that the students would learn and understand the meaning of rhyming words,
and they would be able to give their own examples;
Appreciative- that the students would recognize and value the power there are in words by
creating their own poem with rhyming words;
Psychomotor- that the students would be able to dance and sing along nursery rhymes

TEACHER STUDENTS
I. Routinary Activity

Good morning, children!


Let us start today with a prayer of thanks to God. Good morning, teacher!

Please settle down and listen attentively to me.

Today we are going to play with words. Are you *students sit down

II. Motivation/Activity

Very good. But before that, I would like you to pay

III. Presentation of the Lesson

and ARE. The second side, HIGH and SKY are

IV. Development of the Lesson

Does anyone know about rhyming words? Student 1: Rhyming words are words that have the
same sound.

V. Guided Practice

I will post some words on the board and I want


you all to tell me which words rhyme with each
other
(dedicates 7 minutes to this class work)

Again, what are Rhyming words? Rhyming words are words that sound the same.
Can anyone give me examples that are not on the
board?

Make a short six (6) stanza poem which the last syllables rhyme. The syllable rhyming can be by two
