The Holy Bible: The Story of
1 God’s People
Hello dear learners, do you have any idea on what you will learn
today? Before God revealed himself in the Holy Bible, people already had
different ideas about who or what God really was. These ideas found their
way to the writings, songs, works of art, and many other forms which men
and women used to express their belief in the supreme being.
It was through the experiences of the Israelites and in their history as
a people that God revealed himself as the one true God. And even to our
time, Yahweh – as the Israelites called God – continues to be present in the
life and the history of humankind. LET’S START LEARNING NOW!!!

reaches us when we read the Holy Book with reverence and love.
The Liturgy of the Word in the Holy Mass contains readings from the Bible
and the priest follows it up with the homily, or the sermon in which the priest
expounds on the Word of God. If we listen to and reflect on these, they have
the power to change our lives.
Let us allow the love of God in the Bible to guide our actions in our
everyday life. “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful in teaching, for
reproof, correction, and training in holiness so that the man of God maybe
fully competent and equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
