 Plot
EXPOSITION
Once upon a time, in a land far away, there lived a girl named Cinderella. She lived with
her evil step- mother and two evil step-sisters. Every day, the evil step-mother made
Cinderella work all day long.

RISING ACTION
One day, an invitation to a ball was sent to all the young maidens of the kingdom, but
the evil step- mother would not allow Cinderella to go to the ball and locked her in her
room. Cinderella thought all hope was lost until her fairy godmother appeared. Her fairy
godmother brought a very beautiful dress for Cinderella by magic. So she able to
attended the ball. Cinderella meet Prince Charming, he fell in love with her.

CONFLICT
The rule of going to party is she have to go back home before 12 or else all dress will
disappear. As the clock struck 12, Cinderella ran away as fast as she could. Although
Prince Charming looked for her, all he found was a glass slipper.

CLIMAX
Prince Charming decides to use this glass slipper to find his love. So after the party day
Prince went out around the village and let every woman in the village fit this glass shoe.
Finally he came to Cinderella’s house Cinderella held her breath as Prince Charming
gently slipped the glass slipper onto her foot. As a destiny, she fitted the shoe perfectly.

RESOLUTION
Prince Charming took Cinderella by the hand and made her his bride. Cinderella and
Prince Charming lived happily ever after.

SOURCE OF CONFLICTS
A. Man versus Self (Internal Conflict)
Cinderella tries to fight for her rights to her step-mother as she imposes the content of
the letter about the Ball. However, she did not fight back and cry on herself when her
step-mother and step sisters ruin her dress and prevent her from going to the ball.
Cinderella vs. herself because she thought she was not fit in to go to the palace, she was
ugly, etc.

B. Conflict 3. Man versus Man (External Conflict)
Cinderella vs. her step-mother, Cinderella’s step mother causes her miserable situation
due to jealousy. When Cinderella asked to go to the party, her step-mother would
decline her wish and said, "YoCinderella’u? My dear girl, you're staying at home to wash
the dishes, scrub the floors and turn down the beds for your stepsisters. They will come
home tired and very sleepy."

 Point of view
Omniscient:
The narrator knows everyone’s feeling. The words writer mostly uses: There lived, she,
hers, his, names of character (Cinderella, Prince, Fairy)

 Theme
Kindness will defeat wickedness: Kindness & patience Cinderella owns will defeat evil
soul of her stepmother & stepsisters in the end. Envy & Jealousy: Her stepmother
always feels envy with Cinderella. It is shown in the third paragraph, that no matter how
splendid and elegant her stepsisters’ clothes are, they were still clumsy, lumpy, and ugly,
and always would be. So, that’s why Cinderella was given her stepsisters’ second-hand
dresses by her mother to make Cinderella looks ugly.

 Tone
The writer’s tone of the story is Bitterness  Proved by the author’s choice of words and
details, shown in the beginning of the story in which the writer describes Cinderella as this
poor unhappy young girl, lived in a house where she always gets harsh treatment from her
stepmother and stepsisters

 Style
Simple:
The author pictures the story with a few chances of misunderstanding. In the story, the
author depicts how miserable Cinderella’s life by stressing that she was unhappy and far
from any decent life.
Colloquial because the author used the common speech: Allegory

Acquired lessons from Cinderella:

 Never let the fear striking out, keep on playing the game.

This is one of the moral lessons of the fairytale, Cinderella. She never let her fear
stop her from achieving what she wants. She was able to conquer every life
challenges she went through and maintained being kind and humble in any way.
Cinderella is a sample of how to be a good person even if the world around you
is so cruel and greedy. If I were to relate it in reality, we people now a day need

to think that there is goodness in everyone and in everything. Cinderella
remained calmed, kind and respectful even though she experiences the worst
from her step mother and sisters. I believe that's what the world needs now,
compassion and kindness. That even if people did something bad towards you,
you have to be kind and should not do the same unto them as it will not ease
any pain but will also cause you your own burden.

 Another lesson in Cinderella knows your self-worth and always believes in

yourself. When you believe in yourself, you can overcome self-doubt and have
the confidence to take action and get things done. Also as you begin to see
yourself as worthy of being treated with respect, others will begin to get that
message too.

 Cinderella teaches the morals of kindness towards all, forgiving others for doing
wrong and never letting bad things ruin your heart.

Literary Standards

Yes it is a great piece of literature. It reaches out from children to adults and from
different races. The story implies that everyone has their own kindness that every human being
can be compassionate and it does not differentiate anyone. The imagination made by the writer
of story is truly amazing which implies a great work of artistry. Cinderella story has a lot of
intellectual values not for children but for all. It shows that every living in the world deserves to
be treated right especially when Cindy took care and give foods to the rats. She remained calm
and compassionate towards her stepmother and sisters. And we believe that if people now
days still watch fairytales, there are a lot of things that they can learn from it. This fairytale also
improves the spirituality of a human being as Cindy is kind, loving, caring and compassionate.
She strives to be above all things and she maintained her character throughout the story and
did not leave their house with pain or anger with her step mother and sisters.
