Implementation of voicemail integration

(Hospitality Service Center)

Admin & User Manual

INTRODUCTION

Hospitality Service Center (HSC) is an application intended for the hospitality Industry between PMS
and PBX. It combines communication features of the HiPath IP system with a hotel services
application package that can interface with
● VMS (Voice Mail Systems)

● Room status

TARGET AUDIENCE

HSC is intended for hotels that already have a customary front office system and which require a link
to the PBX. These can be either individual hotels or hotels belonging to a chain.

HSC Server - Hardware requirements


Minimum server requirements:

• Dual-core processor with 3.3 GHz per core recommended

• RAM min. 4GB, 8GB for hotels with more than 200 rooms

• HDD min. 200GB, RAID 1 or RAID 5 recommended

• Windows 2008 Server or newer (server platform recommend-ed)

• The HSC server software must be the only application running on the server (excluding virus

scanners)

• Network Interface 2 x Network Card

• Screen resolution: 1024x768 or higher

• Operating time 24 hours a day

• Optionally PCI Express expansion slot for ISDN (for Internal Advanced Messaging System)

Log in to the HSC system, Click start HSC Maintenance from desktop

Enter your User name and your Password and click OK. Default username and password is admin
HSC MAINTENANCE

After logging in, the HSC maintenance is displayed on your screen, which consists of two areas:

• The navigation area with the menu bar and the toolbar
• The working area & interfaces.

INTERFACE STATUS

This is interface status which could be communicate with HiPath 4000 and WinHMS (PMS). All
interfaces must be online to function guest voicemail & room status features properly.
FLEX INTERFACE & CALL ACCOUNTING

Flex interface & call accounting which can help you to see information transmission commands
between HSC to HiPath 4000 & PMS (WinHMS utility) to HSC.

GENERAL SETTINGS

The menu item Administration - General Settings includes many general data (master data) of your
hotel such as address, rooms, employees, extensions and emergency calls.

INTERFACES

The menu item Interfaces comprises the data HSC needs for configuration of guest voicemail system
with PMS utility.

Log in to the HSC system, Click start HSC from desktop


Enter your User name and your Password and click OK. Default username and password is admin

Thus you confirm your entries and you will be logged in. The HSC main desktop is displayed on your
desktop.

HSC DESKTOP

After logging in, the HSC main desktop is displayed on your screen, which consists of two areas:

● the navigaDon area with the menu bar and the toolbar and

● the working area.

2.5 ROOM STATUS

Using the Interfaces - Room Status window you can activate/deactivate with active room statuses
provided by the HSC system. You activate these statuses which are accepted by other systems
connected to HSC a PMS system. The appropriate symbols are to be found in Call Control.

Changing of the Room Status

As new room status one of the digits "1" to "5" may be entered - however always depending which
room statuses have been activated in HSC administration.

To change room status, Housekeeping runner should access guest room telephone by press “83” and
change room status code as below. This is the preconfigured room status code in PMS end.
