Chapter - 03

● Light Gates:

a digital switch-type sensor most commonly used in timing


experiments.

● Inversely Proportional:

when one value decreases at the same rate that the other increases.

● Rotating:

move or cause to move in a circle round an axis or centre.

● Thinking Distance:

the distance a vehicle travels in the time it takes for the driver to
apply the brakes after realising they need to stop.

● Braking Distance:
the distance that a vehicle travels while slowing to a complete stop.

● Gravitational Field Strength:

the gravitational force exerted per unit mass placed at that point.

● Drag Coefficient:

a dimensionless quantity that is used to quantify the drag or


resistance of an object in a fluid environment, such as air or water.
