Duties & Responsibilities ( QA/QC manager/construction manager for manufacturing of


reservoir tank):
1 Directly responsible for the execution of welded reservoir tank (diameter 27 m) As per
Standard and specification of API 650.
2 Directly responsible for the quality standards and QA/QC requirements. Managing
Quality control functions for the project including planning of Quality Control Inspection
and preparation of reports.
3 Assigning QC personnel to various areas of activities.
4 Ensure that all construction complies with the requirements of approved QCP including
all the sequential inspection, operations associate with the weld preparation, fit up, weld
execution and testing.
5 After receiving the major material like plates, pipes and forging fittings verifying the
identification as per the test certificates and using the material for production.
6 Directly responsibly of fabrication, erection and welding of all sequential steps
accordingly as given by client approved drawings to meet the requirement of code of welded
reservoir tank (API 650)

7 Coordination and execution.

8 Development of the Project construction plan with the project planner and then execution
within project budget, Schedule & contract specifications.

9 Provide direction, leadership and guidance to the construction team in respect of Health,
Safety and environment,
Quality, Methods and Procedures, Productivity, cost & schedule - continuous improvement,
Resource utilization

10 Coordinate with relevant departments in securing the needed permits and licenses for
projects as well as ensure the construction meet safety codes and regulations.

11 Review engineering and architectural drawings and specifications frequently as well as


consult with design professionals to ensure that progress is made in harmony with the outlined
plans and specifications.

12 Review monthly plans to ensure they are realistic & meet project needs.

13 Follow all constructions activities to keep them within schedule

14 Review all production progress & Productivity progress.

15 Monitor constructions methods & build strategies & highlight possible improvements.

24 Liaison with client & consultant.

25 Conduct witness of hydro-test, pigging and gauging of flow line, lateral lines, trunk lines
and cross-country pipelines as per approved procedure.

26 Verifying calibration records testing and inspection equipments.

Quality Assurance Manager (Aramco Project)

The Quality Assurance Manager directs activities of the Project Quality


Organization, reporting directly to the Project Manager, but maintaining an
operational link with the Project Sponsor.

Responsibilities:
 Preparation, review, updating and distribution of the Project Quality
Plan.
 Issue of Project Quality procedures, Project Inspection and Test Plans
and forms (SATIP)
 Review of Quality documentation
 Assignment of Quality related tasks within the framework of the project
 Review of Inspection Reports and of related Non –conformance
Reports
 Evaluation of Suppliers/Sub- Saudi Quality systems Verification, by
means of a planned Audit schedule that the established Quality
Program is being implemented .
 Verification by means of a planned Audit schedule that the
requirements set in the Quality Plan is met.
 Determining and reporting to the Project Manager the principal causes
of quality loses.
 Determining with the Project Manager where improvements are
required and where necessary, recommending corrective action.
