FOR ADMISSION INTO ENGINEERING & PHARMACY COURSES

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDID ATES

The Qualified and eligible candidates of APEAMCET-2020 who are desirous of seeking
admission into B.E/B.Tech/Pharmacy Courses are informed that the web counseling process
comprising payment of processing fee & certificate verification will be conducted from 23-10-2020
onwards. The candidates are instructed to follow guidelines/Instructions to proceed for web counseling
process.

Eligibility for admissions:


 Candidates shall be qualified in APEAMCET-2020 examination and obtained a rank
 Candidates shall have qualified in 10+2 or its equivalent examination. OC candidates shall have
obtained a minimum of 45% marks [44.5% and above] in group subjects. Reserved category
candidates [BC/SC/ST] shall have obtained 40% marks [39.5% and above] in group subjects.
 Candidates shall have completed 16 years of age as on 31-12-2020

Payment of processing fee:


Qualified and eligible candidates of APEAMCET-2020(MPC Stream) are informed to
participate in web counseling for the seats available in Engineering and Pharmacy colleges in
the State of Andhra Pradesh(both University and Private) for the academic year 2020-21 on
payment of processing fee as given below.

 Rs.1200/- (for OC/BC) and Rs. 600/- (for SC/ST) through online by credit card/ debit card/
(or) net banking through the “ Pay Processing Fee” link in the web site
https://apeamcet.nic.in.
 All the candidates from 1 to Last Rank can pay the processing fee from 23.10.2020
onwards using URL https://apeamcet.nic.in .
 Processing fee can be paid through online using credit card or debit card or through
internet banking.
 Candidate wishes to use internet Explorer Browser the version 9 and above shall be
installed in the systems for the best view of the website.
 Enter URL https://apeamcet.nic.in and click on “Pay Processing Fee “
 Enter APEAMCET Hall Ticket number and rank and click on “Pay Fee Online. “
 The candidate will be directed to payment gateway.
 Select any one mode of payment i.e credit card or debit card or net banking and enter
credentials.
 Once the payment is success click on print button and take a print out.

The following is the stepwise procedure to be followed in the system for payment of
Processing fee.
 Enter URL : https://apeamcet.nic.in. in the browser.
 Click on Pay Processing fee link.

 Enter candidate hallticket number, rank and displayed capcha code and click on Pay Fee Online
and the following screen is displayed

 Click on OK.
 Then candidate will be directed to payment gateway.

 Select Credit card / Debit card / Net banking option through which candidate wants to pay the
processing fee and enter his/her bank account or card credentials and execute the payment by
entering the OTP received to his/her mobile.
 After a successful transaction, an SMS is sent to the mobile and the following payment receipt is
displayed.

 Note down the reference number for future reference or take a print out of the fee payment receipt
by click on Print.

Important Note:

During the payment of processing fee sometimes due to network delays payment made by the
candidate may not be successful. In such cases candidates need to pay the processing fee once again
and amount debited due to the failure transaction will be remitted back into the respective account
within 4 working days from the date of payment. If the excess payments are not remitted in 4 working
days candidate has to send information like Hall ticket number, Transaction Id, Date of Payment etc to
the Email Id: cetsrefund2020@gmail.com and action will be taken immediately for refund.
Candidates are requested to note that only one payment will be taken and excess paid will be refunded
automatically.

Verification of Certificates:

 On payment of processing fee, Registration number and Login Id Number will be provided through
SMS for the Mobile number furnished at the time of filing the application or modified mobile number to
all such candidates whose certificate data is already verified through web services. For candidates
whose certificate data is incomplete an SMS is sent to attend for verification of certificates at HLC.
 On confirmation of the displayed data, candidate can create password.

 Login id, Hall Ticket number, date of birth and password already created can be used to enter the
options from Internet facility available at Home/Internet Café/Helpline Center.

 In respect of candidates whose data is incomplete/ not verified the registration tab will not be opened
and a message saying your certificates not verified please contact nearest Help Line Centers
for certificate verification such candidates have to visit nearest help line centre and get the
certificates verified and proceed for option entry.
 Candidates are informed that the verification of certificates viz SSC memo, Intermediate marks memo,
VI class to Intermediate study certificates, Caste Certificate, Income Certificate/Ration Card,
Economically Weaker section(EWS) certificate, Physically Challenged Certificate, Residence Certificate
have to be verified by the counseling authorities.

 However, candidates are requested to note that these certificates were already verified through web
services from the respective board/agencies based on the information furnished by the candidate
while applying for APEAMCET2020 i.e., Common Entrance Test.
 However, in some cases the verification may be incomplete. Hence the candidates are requested to
note the following.
 After payment of processing fee Click on “Verification Status”

1. Enter Hall ticket Number and click on “Show” button.


2. The candidate details will be displayed and at the bottom of the screen the candidates whose
certificates got verified online will get display message “ Candidate is eligible for
exercising options“ all such candidates need not go to Help line centers for certificate
verification and they have to proceed to option entry as per the schedule given in the
notification.
3. The candidates whose certificates are not verified online will get display “candidate is not
eligible” then such candidates have to go to Help line centers and get their certificates
verified and they have to proceed to option entry as per the schedule given in the notification
4. If the candidate is not agreeing with the data verified, candidate is directed to visit the nearest
Helpline Centre with all original certificates for verification.
5. Verified candidates need to check the Eligibility for Fee Reimbursement, If it is displayed as
“NO” but he/she is eligible for Fee Reimbursement then after paying the Processing Fee go to
the nearest Helpline Centre with Original Income Certificate/Ration card to get Fee
Reimbursement Eligibility.
6. Verify the mobile number displayed in the verification status for correctness as all the
counseling information will be sent to this mobile number only. If the candidate wants to
change his/her mobile number visit nearest Helpline Centre and request to change the mobile
number in writing to HLC coordinator.
7. The Candidate is requested to verify all the details displayed and Candidate wishes to change
the data like Date Of Birth, Gender, Region, Caste, Fee Exemption, Minority ,Mobile Number
etc approach nearby Help Line Center With Original certificates for verification.

The following is the stepwise procedure to be followed in the system for verification
of certificates.

1. The candidates whose certificates got verified online will display a message “Candidate is eligible
for exercising options“. All such candidates need not go to Help line centers for certificate
verification and they have to proceed to option entry after getting Registration number and Login
Id as per the schedule given in the notification.

2. The candidates whose certificates are not verified online will display a message “candidate is not
eligible, Contact Help Line Center for certificate verification“ such candidates have to go Help
line centers and get their certificates verified and proceed to option entry after getting
Registration number and Login Id as per the schedule given in the notification

EWS CERTIFICATE SUBMISSION FOR OC CANDIDATES

1) Click on “EWS Submission by OC Candidates” link

2) Enter candidate‟s hallticket number, rank, Date of Birth(dd/mm/yyyy), capcha code and click on Submit.

3) Enter the Certificate number displayed on the EWS certificate issued by MeeSeva and click on GetData

4) EWS details from MeeSeva will be displayed. Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile phone
and click on Submit.
Note: If OTP is not received, wait for 5 minutes and click to resend the OTP

5) If candidate‟s name in APEAMCET application matches with candidate name in MeeSeva and if the
certificate has validity for the year 2020-21, then the certificate will be submitted.
6) To know whether the EWS status is updated or not, go through the Verification status step explained
above and check EWS status.

 In case of any problem in online certificates verification the candidates are requested to attend the
counseling at Help-line Centre.
 The Candidate attending for Certificate Verification at Help-line Centre is requested to follow the stages
as indicated below:
STAGE 1: ACTIVITY AT HLC
 Wait for the announcement from authorities of Help Line Centres for Registration.
 After announcement, hand over the rank card to officer at entrance.
 Wait for the candidate‟s turn in the registration hall.
 Show the proof of payment of processing fee either SMS received or printed fee receipt.
 Collect the Registration-Cum-Verification form from computer operator at Registration
counter and verify whether candidate mobile number is printed correctly or not.
 Enter details i.e. hall ticket number, rank etc. in the Register and append candidate
signature.
 Go back and wait in the registration hall for announcement.
 After announcement by the officer at Registration counter, report at Verification counter
for certificate verification.
STAGE 2: Verification of Certificates:
 Verify the details printed on Registration-Cum-Verification form for local area, sex,
Minority, category, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Special Reservation category,
date of birth, Mobile Number, Fee Reimbursement Eligibility etc. for correctness.
 If there is any mistake, report to verification officer for correction.
 If candidate belong to SC/ST/BC Category, report to Caste Verification officer and submit
the original Caste Certificate for verification and clearance. After Caste verification report
to one of the Certificate verification officers.
 If candidate belong to Open Competition (OC) Category, directly report to Certificate
verification officer.

 The Officers will verify all candidates‟ original certificates like Rank Card, Hall ticket,
Marks memo, Study certificate, income certificate, caste certificate, EWS certificate etc.
 A Print out of Receipt of certificates will be given to the candidate and if candidate finds
any discrepancy, report to the Chief Verification Officer for correction. Append
candidate‟s signature after verifying the data.
Seat allotment process and display of options depend on the accuracy of the data.
 Ensure for correctness of the data in the fields: Local Area, Sex, Minority,
Category (BC/SC/ST),EWS status,Special reservation category
(PH/CAP/NCC/Sports), Fee reimbursement eligibility (Yes/No), Eligible/Not eligible
(Candidates are also jointly responsible for ensuring the Correctness of data. No request
for alteration of data will be allowed after the time for exercising options is over).

 Candidates are advised to download the list of colleges and tuition fee details from
the web site https://apeamcet.nic.in

STAGE 3: Preparatory work to be made by the candidate at home for exercising options:

 Exercising options means the candidate has to select college and courses candidate
wishes to join and arrange them in the order of priority.
 Go through the College profile, availability of courses, duration of the course, prospects
(job/academic opportunities) after studying a particular course. Discuss and decide on
candidates interest on a particular course, distance from his/her place, availability of
hostel, his/her family background, financial ability to move away from his/her place. Arrive
at a list of as many numbers of possible options on a paper.
 Also, consult his/her parents/friends on the selection of courses and Colleges candidates
wish to join.
 Take the Manual option form fill in the district code, College code and course code that
the candidate wishes to join in the order of preference against the option number.

 Allotment of seats will be done based on Rank, Local Area, Gender, reservation category
etc., in the order of preference that the candidate have chosen.

 Allotment will be made as per candidate‟s choice of the option numbers depending upon
the number of vacancies available in a College and in a course for candidate sex, local
area, and category. If vacancy is not available in Option.No.1, Option.No.2 will be
considered for allotment, if vacancy is also not available in Option. No.2, Option.No.3 will
be considered for allotment and so on. The allotment will not proceed to the next rank
candidate till the list of candidate‟s options is completely searched for availability of a
seat.

 HENCE, CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO ENTER MORE NUMBER OF OPTIONS TO


AVOID THE DISAPPOINTMENT OF NOT SECURING A SEAT.
 It is not necessary to give options in a sequence all the courses in a particular college.
 Candidates can enter any number of options of any College in any order of his/her
choice.
 Candidate is advised not to enter options for which he/she is not interested to join.
 The candidates may refer to data corresponding to Last ranks of previous year available
in https://apeamcet.nic.in in selecting candidates options, which is only indicative
 For entering options on computer screen, filled-in manual option form is essential. It will
save the candidate‟s time and minimize the chance of making mistake in option entry on
web.

STAGE 4: Procedure to be followed for exercising options on web/Internet:
 Candidates can enter the options from home or from any internet café or from any Help
Line Center with the help of candidate‟s filled- in manual option form.
 Candidates must have already completed certificate verification(Stage 1 and Stage 2).
Steps to be followed for entering the options on web:

1. Entering the URL through internet


2. Generation of password
3. Option entry
4. Log out
STEP 1: Entering the URL through internet

 Please enter URL or Website address: https://apeamcet.nic.in or as indicated in the


notification.
 Candidates will find home page as shown below containing the links regarding the
information such as counseling procedure, list of courses, list of help line centers, college
profile, etc..

STEP 2: Candidate Registration and Password generation

 FOR CANDIDATES WHOSE CERTIFICATES ARE VERIFIED IN ALL RESPECTS WILL RECEIVE THE
REGISTRATION NUMBER THROUGH SMS TO THE REGISTERED MOBILE IMMEDIATELY. SUCH
CANDIDATES NEED NOT GO TO HLCs FOR CERTIFICATE VERIFICATION AND CAN GENERATE
PASSWORD AND CAN PROCEED FOR OPTION ENTRY AS PER SCHEDULE.

Importance of Password:
 Password is important and shall be held confidentially. It is as important as the PIN of
ATM card.
 Do not reveal it to anybody as it might enable modification/tampering of data.
 Password is essential for Candidates Login, Entry of options, Change of options, saving
and deletion of options and for printing of allotment order.

 Click on “Candidates Registration” to generate the password. Enter the details
Registration Number, Hall Ticket number , Rank, Date of birth [DD/MM/YYYY format] as
printed on Receipt of Certificate given to candidate after Certificate Verification.

 Click on “Generate Password” button. The following screen appears.

 Candidates whose data is verified will get a display of their data and they need to confirm its
correctness by clicking at the check box and proceed to generate their password. If the
candidate disagrees with the data, he/she shall approach the HLC for correction by
producing a valid certificate as a proof and then only he/she shall generate the
password.

 In the “Password” box enter the „password‟ (having a minimum of 8 characters length
and maximum of 10 with at least one Numeral/Character containing a combination of
upper and lower case letters and numerals, for example EamCet12, kriShna123,
98765432Hh etc.)
 Re-enter the same password at “Re-enter password” box.
 Enter the mobile number that was provided at the time of certificate verification. In case
candidate forgets the password mobile number is compulsory to communicate the
changed password.
 Click on “Save Password” to save the password.

 Click on “Log Out”. With this candidate‟s registration is completed and candidate will
come back to Home page.

 Sometimes due problem in compatibility settings of the browser, candidate may face the
problem in generating the password. This can be noticed by “password input box getting
highlighted in RED colour” or “enter 10 or fewer characters in the password box”
message. In such case, candidate is required to change the browser settings by
following the procedure prescribed therein.

 Candidate can change his/her password as well as reset the password (in case
forgotten) through Candidates login as explained in the following step.
 Follow the link Forgot candidate‟s password in candidate login and create new
password. New password will be sent to registered mobile through SMS.

 STEP 3: Option Entry

Note: Candidates are advised not to start entering options directly on the web without
preparatory work in the manual option form at home, as candidate may commit mistakes.

After completing the candidates registration and generation of password, click on


Candidates Login for exercising the options. The following screen appears. Login ID is
a secret number that will be communicated to candidates registered mobile by
SMS well in advance of candidate‟s option entry. In case candidates have not
received his/her login ID or have forgotten it, candidates are advised to send an

SMS from his/her registered mobile to 8790499899 in the format
:APEAMCET<space>01<space>hallticket number after generating candidate‟s
password as explained in previous step.

Example: APEAMCET 01 43632401.

Candidates are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of his/her password and are responsible
for any harm resulting from his/her disclosure, or authorization of the disclosure of candidate
password or from any person’s use of his/her password to gain access to his/her Login ID.
Candidates will be solely responsible and liable for any activity that occurs under his/her Login ID.

To enter his/her option entry screen, enter in Login ID[communicated to candidates registered mobile by
SMS],Hall Ticket No.,Password and Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY) and click on Sign In. The following screen
appears.

To make his/her options more secure, a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to candidates
registered mobile as soon as candidates entered this page after candidate‟s login.

Enter the OTP in the text box provided.

Read the Declaration and click on Check Box √ to confirm the same.

Click on “Help Screen” will display the screen providing explanation about different Menu items present
in the option entry form.
 In case candidates need any explanation about different Menu items of the Option Entry form click on
“Help Screen”. Read the explanation about various menu items, and then click the button “Click here to
Enter Options”, it displays the screen with various districts along with check boxes.

If for certain technical reasons if a message appears “Error in sending OTP to candidate‟s
mobile” above the OTP entry box OR if OTP has been sent to candidate‟s mobile but is not
delivered, wait for 5 minutes and click on “CLICK HERE” to get a new OTP to candidate‟s mobile.

 Select one or more districts to display the Colleges in those districts.

 Click on „Display Option Entry form‟ displays the screen for exercising the options.

 In the Screen different colours are used for display of University Colleges, women Colleges, and
Minority institutions etc
 Enter candidate‟s EAMCET Hall ticket No. in the box provided.
 By looking at already filled manual option form, enter the option numbers in the Boxes on the
Screen against the College and course in which the candidate are interested to join as shown above.
WHILE FILLING THE OPTION FORM „Click on Save Options‟ AT REGULAR INTERVALS.
 Candidates can change the password if he/she wishes so by using Change password Menu
Button.
 Click on View and Print button helps the candidate to see the saved options and take a print out of
the same.

STEP 4: Logout
 AFTER COMPLETION OF Option entry click on “Logout”, IT DISPLAYS AN ALERT
MESSAGE WITH three BUTTONS “Save and Logout”, “Confirm Logout” and
„Cancel Logout‟.
 Click on „Cancel Logout‟ retains the Options Entry Form for entry of some more
options.
 Click on “Save & Logout” button will save the options exercised up to that point of time
and display the details of the options exercised.
 Click on “Confirm Logout‟ button will directly display the details of the options saved up
to that instant.

 Candidates are informed that, they can add, modify or delete the options any number of
times within in stipulated time by repeating the above mentioned four steps. The options
recorded in the server on the last day will be frozen. If candidate wish to change the
frozen options once again, approach any one of help line centers on any one of the dates
mentioned to modify his/her frozen options. This is the final opportunity and after this no
further changes can be done. The Options recorded in the server on the last day will be
taken for allotment of seats. Candidate can take a printout of the options exercised.
 After the option entry and Logout from the Option entry form, close the browser.
STAGE 5: Final Allotment of Seats
 The allotments will be processed on the date mentioned in the notification based on
merit, category, sex, Local area, special reservation category etc and will be placed in the
web. Candidates have to download the allotment order through “Candidate Login”.
STAGE 6: Payment of Fees, Reporting at College, Participation in subsequent phases of counseling
 Separate instructions will be placed on the website after the allotment of seats.

SALIENT POINTS TO RESOLVE TROUBLE SHOOTING:
