In real and in commercial usage (and for better stability) it is too better to use a double side copper fiber glass PCB for any projects like this. one side completely for ground and other side for components, and this
two sides have too many junction between ground of components side and full ground side . this can decrease skin effect and improve stability. the device can stops from working if component pins length be a little
long, thus cut the components pins as much as possible and install those very close together. I've use a 2SC3355 Hi frequence NPN transistor in the first RF stage, this stage amplify the signal level of the LNB .
after some researching on the web I've found some small chips (like mPC2708TB from NEC) with Hi gain and very Hi bandwidth which were very useful for this project but I couldn't found those chips here (IRAN).
I've used two ultra fast schottky diode which you can replace it with any other diode which can work in 2GHZ or even you can simply use base-emitter of two other 2SC3355 as high frequence diode. the project has
two R.F.C coil that you can build it yourself with turning 30 turn of 0.6mm colored wire over 4mm thickness cylinder.
Building and using this project is without any warranty . The goal of building and releasing this project was only for educational purpose and for an experience on very very hi frequence systems
.
