Hi, what I learned in this module were many important things about the computer, first i
started with a vocabulary to learn the pronunciation of different component of a
computer like RIM, Sort, Spreadsheets, Scroll bar, etc.

Then i started to read a text who talk about Operating system (OS), its says that is
system software that manages computer hardware and software resources and provides
common services for computer programs. We usually think of operating system as a set
of instruction for a computer, but this is an erronious way of thinking, For hardware
functions such as input and output and memory allocation, the operating system acts as
an intermediary between programs and the computer hardware, although the application
code is usually executed directly by the hardware and frequently makes system calls to
an OS function or is interrupted by it.

I read about the history and was something interesting, says that Basic operating system
features were developed in the 1950s, such as resident monitor functions that could
automatically run different programs in succession to speed up processing. Operating
systems did not exist in their modern and more complex forms until the early 1960s.
Hardware features were added, that enabled use of runtime libraries, interrupts, and
parallel processing.

Mainframes is generaly term that describes many major features were pioneered in the
field of operating systems on mainframe computers, including batch processing,
input/output interrupt, buffering, multitasking, spooling, runtime libraries, link-loading,
and programs for sorting records in files.

In the text that I also read about the macOS is a line of open core graphical operating
systems developed, marketed, and sold by Apple Inc., the latest of which is pre-loaded
on all currently shipping Macintosh computers and Microsoft Windows Microsoft
Windows was first released in 1985, as an operating environment running on top of MS-
DOS, which was the standard operating system shipped on most Intel architecture
personal computers at the time. In 1995, Windows 95 was released which only used
MS-DOS as a bootstrap.

I learned about Words processor, that in a word processor, you are presented with a
blank white sheet as shown below. The text is added to the document area and after it
has been inserted formatted or adjusted to your preference. Below is an example of a
blank Microsoft Word window with areas of the window highlighted.

The history of the Word processor says that first lets divide word processors by the
technology on which they were based. Throughout history, there have been three types
of processors: mechanical, electronic and software.

Mechanical: There is no trace of the very first alleged word processors.

Electronic: It wasnt until the early 1930s when machines capable of actually processing
text began to appear
Software: Just before the arrival of the PC market, IBM developed the floppy disk.
Something very important that I am grateful to learn is Spreadsheets and databases, a
spreadsheet is an interactive computer application for organization, analysis and storage
of data in tabular form. A spreadsheet consists of a table of cells arranged into rows and
columns and referred to by the X and Y locations, in modern spreadsheet applications,
several spreadsheets, often known as worksheets or simply sheets, are gathered together
to form a workbook.
This unit talks about Microsoft Excel and the history of it Microsoft released the first
version of Excel for the Macintosh on September 30, 1985, and then ported 27 it to
Windows, with the first version being numbered 2.05 to synchronize with the
Macintosh version 2.2 and released in November 1987. The Windows 3.x platforms of
the early 1990s made it possible for Excel to take market share from Lotus.

A unit very important was the unit 16 and talks about the Internet and email The
Internet is an increasingly important part of everyday life for people around the world.
But if you've never used the Internet before, all of this new information might feel a bit
confusing at first.

But what literally internet, The Internet is a global network of billions of computers and
other electronic devices. With the Internet, it's possible to access almost any
information, communicate with anyone else in the world, and do much more.

Unlike the World Wide Web usually called the Web for short is a collection of different
websites you can access through the Internet. A website is made up of related text,
images, and other resources. Websites can resemble other forms of media like
newspaper articles or television programs or they can be interactive in a way that's
unique to computers.

One cuestión that a asked was How does the Internet work, in the unit 16 i learned was
that When you visit a website, your computer sends a request over these wires to a
server. A server is where websites are stored, and it works a lot like your computer's
hard drive, but there other things you can do on the Internet ne of the best features of
the Internet is the ability to communicate almost instantly with anyone in the world.
Email is one of the oldest and most universal ways to communicate and share
information on the Internet, and billions of people use it. Social media allows people to
connect in a variety of ways and build communities online.

This unit talks about Email too and says that is a method of exchanging messages
("mail") between people using electronic devices. No matter which email service you
choose, you'll need to learn how to interact with an email interface, including the inbox,
the Message pane, and the Compose pane. Depending on the email provider, the
interfaces may look and feel different, but they all function in essentially the same way.

Then to this i take a practice which have a lot of problems i mean errors but was
interesting and i learned a lot, thanks.
