Hotel classification around the world differs from one another. There is no
uniform single grading system that can be implemented as countries have
different perceptions about standards of hotel excellence in terms of facilities
and services. Table 1.1 shows a comparison between the star and diamond
classification systems:

This innovative concept has attracted the eye of many resort developers.
The rising cost and maintenance associated with owning another home has
prompted people with extra income to take a more practical approach in
vacationing. They just want fixed or floating schedule for their vacation. Thus,
time sharing or vacation ownership takes the hassle out of second home
ownership.

2. Floating Week allows owners to pick any available week within a season.
3. The points programs gives the owner timeshare points equal to the level of
ownership which can be then used points to make travel arrangements within
the resort group.
