V. PROBLEM SOLVING (NR x 15 = 75 points)
Directions: Read and analyze each problem carefully. Show your solution on the space provided for. Give the
illustration, solution, and conclusion.

1. Jairah has a triangular playground which consists of the seesaw, swing, and climbing bars. They were
arranged in a triangular position such that the distance from the seesaw to the swing is 150 meters, the
swing is 225 meters away from the climbing bars and the climbing bars is 300 meters away. Find the
angles formed by each location.

2. The pond, forest, and mountain appear to be in triangular form. The angle formed by the forest is 25
while the angle formed by the mountain is 50 and the distance from the forest to the mountain is 200
miles. How far is the mountain to the pond? How far is the pond to the forest? What angle is formed by
the pond?

3. Annie baked an isosceles right triangle cake. One side measures 10 inches. How long is the other side?
How long is its longest side?

4. Poly was served a cake with a 30 - 60 angle measures. If the longest side (c ) measures 10 centimeter,
how long are the other sides of the cake?

5. Marti plays basketball well. He played in three games and was able to get the following scores; 34, 67,
and 76. What is his average score? (No need for illustration)

VI. COMPUTATION (NR x 5 = 50 points)

Directions: Solve for the missing side applying the formulas needed. Write your solution and illustration on the
space provided for

45 - 45 - 90

1. a = 10, find b and c

2. b = 5, find a and c
3. c = 4, find a and b

30 - 60 - 90

1. a = 9, find b and c
2. b = 15, find a and c
3. c = 12, find a and b
