1. Describe eight basic teaching skill.why biology teacher need to master these eight basic
teaching skill?
2. Explain the component of lesson plan.
3. How do you design biology learning based on existing media in the school environment?
4. Why is it necessary to design IT-based biology learning?
5. How do you design worksheets in biology learning?
6. Describe the component that need to made in the biology practicum guide.

ANSWER:

1. The basic teaching skills are:

1) Open and close learning skills, The activities carried out by the teacher at the beginning
of the lesson will greatly determine the course of the learning process. If it is done well,
the next learning process (possibly) is expected to run well. However, if the learning
opening process does not go well, it can result in failure of the learning process. Even
well-planned lesson plans can be inappropriate (become useless). Therefore it is
important for teachers to master the skills to open learning.
2) Skills to explain learning, It is not enough for teachers to only master learning material.
It becomes useless if the teacher's mastery of the material is not followed by the ability
to explain. Therefore, a teacher must also be able to explain. Explaining is the
presentation of information carried out orally which is organized systematically to show
a relationship between things. Explanation skills are shown by skills in conveying
information in a planned manner, presented correctly and in the right order.
3) Questioning skills, Questions can make other people interested in what we have to say.
Questions are in fact a powerful communication tool between teachers and students.
Therefore, a teacher must be clever to formulate a question.
4) Variation skills, Doing the variation that is meant here is to make variations in teaching.
Boredom and boredom must hit your students if, every time you teach you only use that
same way of teaching. In addition, if the teacher's performance is still low and the class
facilities are not supportive, learning in the classroom will be the least preferred
learning. As a result, if students themselves are uncomfortable and do not like learning
activities, it will be difficult for them to absorb any information on learning material.
5) Skills provide reinforcement, Reinforcement is all the responses given by the teacher to
students in all forms, be it verbal or behavior in order to encourage or correct every
attitude and action displayed by students.
6) Class management skills, Class management is one of the skills that teachers must have.
Classroom management skills are fundamental as a teacher. Teachers are required to be
able to optimize learning conditions in the classroom and restore them to normal if
there is a disruption in learning.
7) Small group discussion guiding skills, A teacher must be able to guide students in groups
well. Likewise in small groups. In the learning process with the formation of small
groups, the teacher must be able to guide students to discuss and share information in
their groups.
8) Small group and individual teaching skills, These skills are the skills of teachers in
facilitating their students to learn both individually and in groups. Because learning in
the classroom is not only in groups, the teacher must also be able to manage learning
individually.

Biology teachers need to master eight basic teaching skills because basic teaching skills
are very influential in the success of the teaching and learning process. So that before
the teacher teaches, a teacher must first learn what things must be learned and
mastered.

2. The components of the learning plan are:

1. School identity, namely the name of the educational unit
2. Subject / sub-theme identity
3. Class / Semester
4. Main material
5. Allocation of time,The time allocation is determined according to the needs for achieving
basic competency and learning load.
6. Core competencies
7. Basic competence,Basic competence is a number of abilities that students must master in
certain subjects as a reference for preparing competency indicators in a lesson.
8. Competency achievement indicators,Competency indicators are behaviors that can be
measured and / or observed to show the achievement of certain basic competencies that
become the reference for subject assessment. Competency achievement indicators are
formulated using operational verbs that can be observed and measured, which include
knowledge, attitudes and skills.
9. Learning objectives,Learning objectives describe the process and learning outcomes that are
expected to be achieved by students in accordance with basic competencies
10. Teaching materials,Teaching materials contain relevant facts, concepts, principles and
procedures, and are written in the form of points in accordance with the formulation of
competency achievement indicators.
11. Learning methods,The learning method is used by the teacher to create an atmosphere of
learning and the learning process so that students achieve basic competencies in the
learning atmosphere and learning process so that students achieve basic competencies or a
set of predetermined indicators. Method selection learning is adjusted to the situation and
condition of students, as well as the characteristics of each indicator and competency to be
achieved in each subject.
12. Learning Media
13. Learning activities

3. Learning biology is learning about phenomena that exist and occur in nature through activities
scientific activities by students, so the right way to learn biology is through active learning and
contextual. Active and contextual learning can be designed by the teacher as a person who is
responsible.Responsible in the learning process of students by applying the theory and
principles of active learning and contextual. The Natural Exploration Experiential Learning Model
(EJAS) is one model active and contextual learning that can be used as a guide for designing
learning in classes by students because the EJAS learning model is a biology learning model
provide direct experience in the learning process of students and develop potential skills and
attitudes they have through the learning process. Teachers need to collaborate with colleagues
in one field of study through lesson study activities to get a design effective and efficient
learning to facilitate students' learning in obtaining knowledge and skills development to face
and respond to future changes.

4. Because IT-based learning makes it easier for teachers and students to understand and find the
material provided by the teacher and it is hoped that with this IT-based learning students are
more creative and think critically in carrying out the learning process.

5. LKS contains problems (problem solving) so that students can develop their mindset by solving
these problems. LKS is the simplest printed teaching material because the content component is
not on teaching material but on the development of questions and exercises. LKS is very well
used in the context of heuristic and expository strategies. In the heuristic strategy, student
worksheets are used in the guided discovery method, while in expository strategies, worksheets
are used to provide development exercises. In addition, worksheets are used as a support to
increase student activity in the learning process and can optimize learning outcomes, and by
paying attention to the provisions in their making.
6. The components contained in the book includes covers, foreword, table of contents, order
practicum, rules for argumentative discussion, argumentation guide, sheets review research
reports.
