Narrative Report on Girl Scouting Program
for S.Y. 2019-2020

The Girl Scouting program is an informal educational program which offers a

wonderful array of opportunities for fun and learning and also providing skills in

leadership, character, and service. It brings scouters to a journey of excitement and

challenge that will help them to develop their self-potential in contributing to their

society. Activities were conducted to improve survival skills, activities to teach scouters

the essence of family life and activities to help scouters become a good citizen of the

society. Hence, scouting is one of the most essential activities promoted by the

Department of Education.

For S.Y. 2019-2020, the 8th Inter-School Joint BSP Camporal and GSP

Encampment was held at Panabo City Multi-Purpose Tourism Cultural and Sports

Center for four days within these inclusive dates, March 4-7 2020. The said activity was

participated by public secondary schools together with the senior high schools. The

advance party arrived at exactly 10 a.m, March 4,2020 for camp building and

beautification. The next day, March 5, 2020, the program had officially started with a

grand parade of the delegates starting from Panabo Parks and Plaza towards the

Panabo City Gymnasium. After the grand parade, it was immediately followed by the

Grand Opening Ceremony with the participation of some Honorables and School Heads

of participating schools. In the opening program, the delegates and contingents were

presented by Sct. Manuel M. Esperanza, P-III, So. Dvo NHS/PASSHA President.

Various activities were prepared for Girl Scouts such as the knot tying,

bandaging, message, lashing, fire building egg cooking, bucket relay and the scout

palabas. All the activities of the Girl Scouts were participated by Malativas NHS Fire
Horse Team. Luckily, the participants in the egg in a barbeque stick got third place

amidst the strong winds and rains. In the evening, the GSP Campfire was held and

followed by the Scout Palabas. Some presented it through sing and dance accompanied

by the lively gongs of drums, interpretation through hand miming and others. In the

afternoon, the closing program was conducted and winners from the various events

were award ed with certificates of recognition and participation.

In conclusion, events such as this was indeed very important because students

were given an array of opportunity to develop their self as an individual who exhibits

camaraderie and excellence in contributing to the development of our society.
