If the Luminos dRF system has a Bucky wall stand, the position of the lifting base must be
marked as exactly as possible on the floor.
The new lifting base must then be installed again in exactly (millimeter accuracy) the same
position so that center of the tube <-> detector center exactly match.
It is absolutely necessary to work very accurately here, because correction of a difference
takes a lot of time.
1. Remove the footrest and the other parts on the patient table.
2. Remove the side cover panels on the unit support (1-3/Fig. 4 / p. 7).
3. Remove the fan cover panel at the head end on the unit support (1/Fig. 5 / p. 7).

Cabling 1.5
NOTE The illustrations in this section are for orientation only and
can differ from the actual status of the system.
• Remove the cable clamp and flexible plastic chain on the extender.
• Unplug the connections between the lifting base and the M1 assembly (line power
assembly).
Fig. 9:
• Remove the contact protector from the F1 trip breaker (1/Fig. 10 / p. 10).
• Label the motor cable to the Micromasters (1/Fig. 11 / p. 11) and disconnect it.
Fig. 11:
• Remove the transformer (2/Fig. 11 / p. 11). It will be used again.
• Pull all cables to the right side of the base in the direction of the transformer out of the
base. Be careful of the connectors (Fig. 9 / p. 10).
• Remove the support plate (3/Fig. 11 / p. 11) with the Micromasters. Take note of the
cabling! The support plate with the Micromasters will be used again.
1. Install the plates at the head and foot ends of the unit support and tighten all screws.
2. Install the transport carriages at the head and foot ends (thread the screws in only
loosely) and make sure that the safety screws to prevent tilting of the unit support are
inserted:
3. Install the transverse struts (thread in the screws only loosely). Prior to installation, the
transverse struts must be connected together (tighten the screws).
4. First tighten all screws on the transport carriage and then the screws for the transverse
struts.
5. Install the transport castors at the head and foot ends.
6. Turn down the transport castors with the spindles so that the transport castors are
under light pressure.
7. Remove the screws between the unit support and the extender.
8. Evenly turn down the transport castors with the spindles so that the unit support and
extender come apart.
9. Move the unit support so that the base is accessible from the front and side. Pay care-
ful attention to the cables and take them out of the extender!

• Remove the contact protector from the F1 trip breaker (1/Fig. 27 / p. 20).
• Label the motor cable to the Micromasters (1/Fig. 28 / p. 21) and disconnect it.
Fig. 28:
• Remove the transformer (2/Fig. 28 / p. 21). It will be used again.
• Pull all cables to the right side of the base in the direction of the transformer out of the
base. Be careful of the connectors (Fig. 26 / p. 20).
• Remove the support plate (3/Fig. 28 / p. 21) with the Micromasters. Take note of the
cabling! The support plate and the Micromaster will be used again.
1. Install the plates at the head and foot ends of the unit support and tighten all screws.
2. Install the transport carriages at the head and foot ends (thread the screws in only
loosely) and make sure that the safety screws to prevent tilting of the unit support are
inserted:
3. Install the transverse strut ((1/Fig. 33 / p. 23) and (1/Fig. 34 / p. 23)) and angled struts (
(2/Fig. 33 / p. 23) and (2/Fig. 34 / p. 23)) (thread in the screws only loosely). Prior to
installation, the transverse struts must be connected together (tighten the screws).

4. First tighten all screws on the transport carriage and then the screws for the transverse
strut/struts and angled struts (if installed).
11. Completely remove the M1 assembly (line power assembly) from the lifting base and
place it carefully to the side.
• Install the transport safety device (1/Fig. 38 / p. 26) from the new lifting base in the old
lifting base.
Fig. 39:
• Install the transport castors.
• Raise the lifting base and move it away.
NOTE With a Luminos dRF system with Bucky wall stand, the new
lifting base must be positioned exactly (millimeter accuracy)
in the same position as the old lifting base! This is prerequi-
site for centering the Bucky wall stand.
• Installation of the lifting base must be performed per the Installation Instructions.
• When doing this, the following points absolutely must be observed:
- Leveling
- Inserting shims
- Torque values for the mounting bolts.
Installation of the electronic assemblies in the lifting base is performed in the reverse
sequence.
Installation of the lifting base and the unit support must be performed per the Installation
Instructions.
Adjustment 4.1
• Luminos dRF: Perform adjustment of the safety limit switches per the chapter Lifting
Base > Replacing the Safety Limit Switches in the instructions Replacement of
Parts, Luminos dRF, Basic Unit with Tube Unit and Collimator, Print Number
AXD3-500.841.01 (for the latest version, see the CB-DOC).
• Iconos R200: Perform adjustment of the safety limit switches per the chapter Lifting
Base > Adjustment of the Safety Limit Switches in the instructions Replacement of
Parts, Iconos R200, Basic Unit and Collimator, Print Number AXD3-340.841.01 (for
the latest version, see the CB-DOC).
• Place a ball phantom on the centering cross of the Bucky wall stand and trigger an
exposure with the tube unit of the Luminos dRF unit. If the ball in the exposure is out-
side of the center, a correction is necessary. This can be done only by moving the
Bucky wall stand or lifting base of the Luminos dRF (unit support and extender must be
removed again).
• Corrections and ball phantom exposures must be repeated until the ball in the expo-
sure is exactly in the center of the phantom.
