    THE PRINCIPAL, SMK RAJA MAHADI SCHOOL, KLANG

    It gives me immense pleasure to talk about the project spearheaded by our


    school students which is on par with the needs and changes of the socio-
    economic environment. The idea behind the project is to develop a
    manufacturing setup, which not only draws a solution to the ever
    increasing problem of waste generation but also serves to the green
    technology initiative by our government.

    The project has been named as GREENCIL MAKER and as the name goes, it acts as double
    headed sword in spigoting the littering problem in the school and will also act as an income
    generator. After several phases of contemplation and burning of midnight oil, our students have
    zeroed in on this project to create a low cost, but an effective mechanism in converting the waste
    generated, into a tool which be used by the broader segment of people, without burning a hole in
    their wallets.

    Prima-face objective of this project is to align ourselves with blooming green technology, and to
    converge it with our solution for the problem faced in our day-today life; the students have bent
    their back and toiled hard to work on it. They have done this project not only to manufacture a
    green product; but to sow fresh seed into the life of the micro & small scale manufacturers, in
    this unrelentless journey embarked by the students of SMK RAJA MAHADI SCHOOL, they
    have done an extensive study on the merits, demerits and constant improvement and
    improvisation that can be added into this project in the near future and make them future-ready.

    Taking a tour inside this carefully crafted project will enthrall you with plenty of knowledge &
    information which will make you wonder, how the project which such intricacy was made
    possible at a school level and I urge all people, who show compassion towards the environment
    and manufacturing to read through this. I would like extend my thanks to all the warm hearts, out
    there, who had supported these young minds in making this project, happen.
