404-704-5782 Updated: 9/25/19 page 1 of 4
Monday 9/23 - 6:30PM-10:30PM: Blocking
Tuesday 9/24 - 6:30PM-10:30PM: Music Rehearsal
Wednesday 9/25 - 6:30PM-10:30PM: Run First Half
Thursday 9/26 - 6:30PM-10:30PM: Run Second Half
Friday 9/27 - 6:30PM-10:30PM: Work Scenes
GENERAL/CREATIVE INFORMATION:

Tonight, we first put "Lipstick" to the music. The actors focused on pacing out their lines to match it to
the music. Then, we added the ensemble in the solo songs as background members. The actors are
practicing being present at all times on stage and not distracting from the main focal point at the
moment. Brady McNeil was called at a later time because he has class and Alyssa Allen was an amazing
Brady stand in.
COSTUMES/MAKEUP:

1) Just a friendly reminder that we have fittings scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. See you then!
LIGHTING:

None tonight, thank you!

PROPS:

1) The head of the red rose fell off the stem tonight during the run. It looks like there is a split in the part
that connects the rose to the stem. The broken rose is left on the SM table.
2) Jenna Viana fell off her chair during her number and a small piece chipped off the bottom.
Management put the chair near the SM table and put the chipped piece on the chair.
SCENIC:
1) Thank you for putting the risers in today! It defintely gives the actors a better feel of having audience
on three sides.
2) The added colors to the floor makes it super vibrant. It looks super galactic!
SOUND:

None tonight, thank you!

PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT:

1) There is a shadow casted on some of the piano keys, and Jamie cannot see them when he is playing.
Could you possibly get another piano light to remedy this situation?
THEATRE OPERATIONS:

1) The soap dispenser in the blackbox dressing room bathroom is not dispensing soap.
MOVEMENT NOTES:

1) The actors move around the space in a way that feels the most natural to them. Therefore, the show is
very fluid and ebbs and flows with the actors each night.
DRAMATURGY NOTES:

None tonight, thank you!

SM: Anna Vu
404-704-5782 Updated: 9/25/19 page 2 of 4
ADDITIONAL NOTES:

1) During "Me and Ricky" tonight, Jenna Viana got super invested into the character and fell off of her
chair and hit her head. Management got her an ice pack, and she will be filling out an accident report.

GENERAL/CREATIVE INFORMATION:

We had a successful tech rehearsal today! At the top of rehearsal, we worked specific numbers to fix
timing on calling cues. We then moved to another tech run. The run went really well today. The stage
manager, the light board op, and the sound board op were all in the same vibe and had a good flow.
After the run, we modified some lighting moments in the Cake and Pi numbers. Tomorrow, is our first
dress rehearsal and the first time we will be seeing everything with costumes!

Performance & House

Happy Opening Eve! Tonight we had a fresh audience. With having audience on all sides of the BlackBox, the actors performed to
all areas of the audience! The were defintely some nerves in the air. Even though, the energy was a little off because of the
nerves, the audience still enjoyed the show! During "Apples and Oranges" we could see the moment where it clicked for the
audience. For the "Cake" monolouges, the audience cracked up each time Emma brought it up again. The audience was really
impressed with "Relative Pitch." After the number, we had a vocal "OH!" from the audience. Jonny Dickey's friends were in the
audience and cheered extra loud for him during curtain call. Everyone is excited for opening night tomorrow!
