Position summary
To ensure guests satisfaction by overseeing the night time operation within the Housekeeping department,
in order to maintain the cleanliness and service in designated guest public areas and toilets, consistently
and effectively reflecting the luxurious nature of Regent Seven Seas Cruises/ or Oceania Cruises.
Operational
Ensuring that the areas are properly staffed, equipped and set up; and that all lockers are stocked at all
times.
Keeping control on consumption and usage of chemicals, etc.
Ensuring that the Night team is well trained in all their functions.
Assigning duties and supervising the night team to ensure that they follow departmental procedures and
company guidelines.
Scheduling periodic deep cleaning and shampooing of assigned areas when necessary.
Conducting regular inspections in all incumbent areas, focusing on details and ensuring corrective action.
Resolving any passenger queries or questions, reporting immediately any guests´ dissatisfaction to the
Housekeeper or Assistant Housekeeper, so he-she can action with effective discretionary guest recovery.
Assisting the Housekeeper with the review of individual performances, setting objectives, following up,
identifying skills shortages and providing feedback.
Communicating effectively to ensure that the Night team reflects Company’s values at all times.
To ensure full compliance with USPH regulations by:
Acting on reporting to the Housekeeper any issue in regards to Public Health programs within the
department.
Ensuring the current Policy in accordance with Company’s procedures and legal guidelines in own area are
adhered to (i.e. cockroach traps, temperature logbook, three bucket system, chemical labeling, etc.).
Ensuring all equipment in all Housekeeping areas is in good working condition.
Guaranteeing the safety of all crewmembers by providing: tools in working conditions, protective clothing
and equipment when necessary.
Must be able to conduct training sessions with his/her subordinates regarding the various aspects of their
responsibilities onboard.
Must possess the skills and ability to coach and supervise his/her subordinates.
Training and guidance on how to use and keep the equipment.
Must participate in all assigned trainings.

Safety Responsibilities
To comply with the safety and pollution prevention regulations and operating procedures at all times
participating in all relevant meetings and training sessions.
Ensuring that HK Night Team is strictly following safety procedures.
Participate in safety drills, according to instructions.
Must be in possession of valid STCW certificates.
Resources
HKOM, USPH manual, SMS, and instructions/ explanations provided by Chief HK or Shipboard/ Shoreside
management.
Other Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned).
As per operational needs, other duties may be assigned by Chief Housekeeper.
Qualifications
Knowledge, experience, skill, and/or ability
Required
Must be knowledgeable of the cleaning products used in the Housekeeping Department onboard.
Must be fully knowledgeable with the Company Waste Management Policy ensuring that his/her
subordinates are trained and familiar with the garbage separation procedure onboard.
Knowledgeable of the of the United States Public Health Sanitation Standards, Rules and Regulations.
Preferred
Shipboard experience.

Education/experience/certifications
High School education or better. A minimum of three years experience and/or training in the hospitality /room division
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills:
Knowledge of general office practices, procedures and equipment; ability to prioritize tasks and work
independently; strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with senior-
level management and owner representatives.
Math Ability:
Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram
form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
