A. Introduction What I need to know?
- The learners will do the walkthrough
of lesson expectations.

- You are right! That is an exclamation


point. It is a kind of a punctuation
mark that is used when expressing a
strong feeling. The sentence formed
is called an exclamatory sentence.

B. Development What I know?
- The learners will be provided with
four (4) different tasks to perform.
Task 1
- The learners will identify the
sentences that ends with an
exclamation point.
Task 2
- The learners will examine the given
sentences and bubble the
exclamatory sentences in color
green.
Task 3
- The learners will be tasked to read
the given sentences with exclamation
point with feelings.
What is in?
- The learners will read about
exclamatory sentences and how to
identify them.
- An exclamatory sentence shows
strong feeling. It helps to express
love, anger, surprise happiness and
other emotions. It ends with an
exclamation mark (!) An
exclamatory sentence must have a
subject.
What is it?
- The learners will be asked to check
their answers from the previous
activity.
- After they have checked their work,
the learners will find out what made
their answers incorrect.

Activity 1
- The learners will be tasked to
identify and copy the sentences that
expresses strong feelings inside the
box.
 The rug is so dusty!
 Beat the rug to remove the dirt.
 That’s a very cute puppy!
 Give the puppy a tight hug.
 See the bubbles go up the air!
 Blow many soap bubbles.

Activity 2 -
- Learners will clap twice if what they
will read is an example of
exclamatory sentence and clap once
if not.
- 1. What I see now I like best, Papa,
look!
2. How wonderful life is!
3. Mother keeps our house clean.
4. My family is amazing!
5. Why were you absent yesterday?

Activity 3 – How Do I Feel?


- Learners will say these sentences
correctly. They will then describe
how they feel, if they are happy,
afraid, angry, or suffering from
pain.
1. Hurrah, we won the game!
2. Go out, this is not the place for
you!
3. Help, a dog is running after me!
4. My tooth is aching!
5. Leave me alone!
Activity 4 – True or False
- Learners will write True if the
sentence expresses strong feelings
and False if it tells otherwise.
- 1. Oh my, the boy is going to fall!
2. Are the balls on the table?
3. What a happy family!
4. Ouch, my eyes hurt!
5. Yuri sees animal clouds.

What can I do?


- The learners will perform real-life
activities and tasks identified in the
module.
- They will be tasked to exchange a
conversation with any members of
the family using exclamatory
sentences.
