Submit a PDF/Word Mood Board Base from your PETA Design based from your PETA of the 3rd QTR.
The 4th Quarter PETA is a motivating advocacy campaign entitled: “ Wear Your Culture” that
continues to promote the Philippine Art Motifs. And this time the designs are on the
fashionable fits of modern garments and wears.
But prior to that, you must create a WW1 to help narrow down your choices of patterns
and designs what will be on the WEARABLE ART you will you be expressing for the PETA
in Quarter 4.
What should be the content of your WW1? You have to identify, illustrate and draw on your mood boards the
following:
SUPPORT BASE – Garment/s and wearables you wish to decorate with indigenous motifs lifted from your
Mandala, such as caps, bonnets, hats; armbands, socks and shoes; shirts, blouses, shawls, vests and
jackets; pants, skirts, jeans and gowns
COLOR SCHEMES & DESIGN PATTERN – You can choose portions of the motifs from your Mandala or
the whole Mandala. Your illustration should show how the design on the garment should be organized.
Make sure that the color scheme, patterns and images in the mood board will be the same in the
upcoming Peta.
Hence, your illustrations on the mood board will be your guide for finalizing the Peta. Plan it well, the
support base; design colors, patterns and motifs; as well as lay-out and positionings of the WW1 and
Peta must be similar.
What support garments are not allowed? bikinis, underwear's, short-shorts, micro-mini skirts, tank shirts, sleeveless
muscle shirts, spaghetti straps, tubes, ankle socks, wrist bands, head bands, belts, jewelry, but because it’s a
pandemic face-mask is optional as long as it comes with a major garment, walking shorts and skirts with hemlines up
to the knees are allowed.
Is digital drawing allowed? You can submit hand and digital drawings for WW1. But the final Peta will not allow
digital printing and machine transfers.
Besides the indigenous images, patterns and colors, can we include other designs? You can include the tag-line,
“Wear Your Culture” for added contemporized hip appeal, and nothing more outside from your Mandala. Please make
sure that the fonts of the tag-line follows the main mood designs.
