ANALYSIS

CLASS ROOMS

 There are 4 classrooms in this school in the second level zoned in such a way that they are a
level below from other public spaces
 15 tables and 30 chairs are provided for a set of 30 students in each class
 Some of the walls of classrooms are utilized by providing built-in shelves where the children
can store their books and other utilities.
 Windows are provided in the form of peeping holes which are designed specifically
according to children’s anthropometry. This works effectively to create curiosity amongst
students.
 Classroom are very open and has view to outer surroundings.

Entrance lobby

 This space acts like a foyer space that leads to the school and is easily accessible
 As you enter this space, you get a 360 view of other spaces in the school

Common spaces

 The common spaces include music rooms, activity rooms, computer lab, arts room, library
etc and are zoned in the entrance level.
 These spaces are well ventilated and gets ample sunlight

Toilet

 Toilets are located on one end of the building


 They are not centrally placed and have difficulty in accessibility for children

Quaint House

 These are nap rooms specifically designed to children’s anthropometry


 Around 4 bunk beds are provided in this area where students are free to come in and take
rest.
 This room can be accessed from entrance lobby as well as stairs from doll’s house below

Music room

 The shape of the room is irregular and has multiple openings.


 The openings here help in acoustics and reduces the amount of sound produced

Staff room

 The staffroom is located adjacent to classroom which helps in having surveillance over
children
 The students’ private room is nearby which can be seen from the peep hole in the staffroom

Corridor

 The corridors here are very student friendly and kids usually use this space to run and play
 Multiple seating arrangements can be seen throughout the corridor
 Wall attached vents are provided for seating purpose, teachers often use these spaces to
observe children.
 This also serves like a gallery to the amphitheatre located in the centre.
 The skylight provided in the centre gives ample sunlight to the whole place

Terrace level is basically roof that is turned into a large gathering space.

An amphitheatre is built here using beer bottle which were collected by the students.

This space is normally used for programs and also used to conduct events by the public.

A stage is built on one end which has background with similar beer bottle arrangement made to
create animal patterns.

This space can be accessed from a spiral staircase in the entrance level.
