I. EXCECUTIVE SUMMARY
Food has a major part in the lives of people. It gives them all the nutrients required in
order for them to cope up with their daily living such as to survive, to be active, to become
healthy and to have an energy to perform their everyday activities. Some people find it difficult
to choose the right food that fits in their diet because not all foods that are serve is healthy.
The taste of sweetness is the ultimate comfort food for Filipinos. In most cuisines of
Filipinos, sugar is everywhere. Though, it is not healthy to consume too much sugar but at least
in moderation. Desserts are not only made out of sugar, they can also make out from fruits and
also vegetables. The business, Caloy’s Cafe, expect to catch the interest of the local residents of
Cabatuan as they will be offering desserts that are made from vegetable in which the highlight
ingredient of the said cafe is the squash. This café offers a light and casual environment where
the local residents can enjoy the light refreshments such as baked goods and snacks which
primarily made from squash that has a good source of vitamin A, a powerful antioxidant,
essentials for good skin, vision and mucous membranes. Unlike restaurants, this café served
foods in a way that customers do not need to wait for too long as the foods are already well-made
and some will be cook only for a couple of minutes before serving. In addition, the goal of this
café is to serve the most ideal and rare flavor desserts and snacks made specially for locals to
love. The most highlighted product that is going to be served is the squash de leche. It also
offers additional drinks which are made of fresh fruits and vegetables. Moreover, the
Few employees are only required on a small scale and it will give a complete facility to
its valuable and important customers. This café would be far cheaper as you would only be
ordering not just a food but it also helps to create relaxed home atmosphere for every local who
will come which specializes in serving snacks and desserts primarily from squash.
Caloy’s Cafe will be a production type of business. This will be located at Serrano Street,
Cabatuan, Iloilo in front of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School. This is a solo type
of business owned by April Joy V. Pueyo. Caloy’s Café is a snack area where the customers can
relax while eating their snacks and have a small talk or bond with friends, family and lover. This
provides delicious and healthy snacks such as squash de Leche which can make the customers
satisfied. It also offers additional drinks which are made of freshfruits and vegetables. The
approachable personnel and the unique products with affordable prices that are going to be
offered will be the advantages of our business. The target customers will be the students from
CNCHS, street passers as well as the residents near our Cafe. The promotional activity that will
be implemented to promote our products and services are flyers which will be given to the local
residents of Cabatuan that talks about the business. Primarily, the owner will lead the production
of foods to be sold and in the future she will hire chefs for the improvement of the business.
The owner is seeking a capital amounting to Php 50,000 to start the business. This money
will be spent mostly to the furnitures , equipments and tools that will be utilized in the
production of product. There will be financial profit expected from the business as well as
improvement in the facilities, staffs, and satisfaction from the target customers. Our business was
expected to build a strong market position in the town after six months due to the demand of the
customers. After three years, we expect that our business will spread throughout Iloilo City.
