    Working together they can do the work in 6 days. How long would it take Dan to do it alone?

    Given: Let: x = time for Butch to finish a certain job working alone
    y = time for Dan to finish a certain job working alone
    6 = total working hours of Butch and Dan

    x=2 y (eqn. 2)

    Solution: Substitute (eqn. 2) in (eqn. 1)
