SANTOS LEADER OF THE GROUP 3, SO ME AND MY GROUP WILL BE
PRESENTING THE CHAPTER 7: TELECOMMUNICATION, THE INTERNET &
WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY. SO PLS BARE WITH UR AND LISTEN TO THE
REPORTERS. THANKYOU SO I WILL NOW PROCEED.
SO, THESE ARE THE 4P’S OF NETIQUETTE
So, first is POLITE,so I don’t reallly have to explain this actually, so common
sense lang po, so syempre we all need to be polite.Let’s all be respectful here
and be considerate. Next one is PROFESSIONAL, ofc we all have to be
professional pakita natin pinagaralan natin, wag bastos. Next is POSITIVE,
here naman we should all share some positivity para hindi panget ang
magiiging outcome natin sa klase, pag puro negativity kasi tayo dito is walang
mangyayareng maganda.OKay? And Last One is PARTICIPATE, as I said
common sense uli we should all participate kahit hindi na kayo sumagot sa
mga questions, attensyon at oras mo lang is sapat na, enough na yun to
participate the class.So this is when you are communicating with anyone, the
rule thumb should always be adhering to the 4p’s of online communication.

FIRST IS TELECOMMMUNICATION, May nakakaalam ba dito kung ano ibig
sabhin nang telecommunication? Base on ur understandings po?
So, telecommunication is the transmission of information by various types of
technologies over radio, wire, optical or other electromagnetic systems. And
also, Telecommunications technology includes anything that is used by
humans to communicate information over a distance. So yun ang short info
abt Telecommunications.
Let's proceed.

SLIDE 7:
So, first subtopic is Networking and communication Trends,
SO, let’s start with convergence so convergence is a Telephone networks and
computer networks that is converging into single digital network using the
Internet standards.So this refers to two or more things coming together, joining
together or evolving into one. The best examples of media convergence are
Smartphones, laptops and ipads that converge different types of digital media
like radio, camera, TV, music, content and more in a simple single device.
Next is Broadband, so in telecommunications, broadband is a wide bandwidth

data transmission which transports multiple signals and traffic types. So, sa
Internet access namn yung broadband is nagagamit to high-speed the Internet
access kasi lagi itong nka-on at mas pinabilis kesa sa dial-up access over
traditional analog or ang ISDN PSTN services.
So here naman is ang broadband wireless, so this is the Voice and data
communication as well as the Internet access that are increasingly taking place
over broadband wireless platforms. So wireless broadband is a
telecommunications technology that provides high-speed wireless Internet
access or computer networking access over a wide area. So yung term nato is
kino-comprises ng both fixed and mobile broadband.

What is computer network? Anyone who can answer?
So kunwari kinakailangan mo mag connect nang computers for two or more
employees together sa same office, So kakailanganin mo nang computer
network. Exactly! So ano nga ba ibig sabhin nang network? so in its simplest
form, a network consists of two or more connected computers.
So yung computer network is a group of computers na ginagamit to set of
common communication protocols over digital interconnections for the purpose
of sharing resources located on or provided by the network nodes. So nai-
identified naman ito by hostnames and network addresses. Ayan two or more
connected computers,
So dito nman sa Major components in simple network, dito yung
• Client computer -
• Server computer
• Network interfaces (NICs) - Each computer on the network contains a
network interface device kaya natawag to na Network interfaces (NICs).
• Connection medium
• Network operating system - eto naman yung nag rorouta at nag mamanage
ng communications sa network at nag cocoordinates sa network resources.
• Hub or switch - Hubs namn are very simple devices that connect network
components and sending a packet of data to all other connected devices. Ang
switch naman is more intelligence than a hub and can filter and forward data
to a specified destination on the network.
Next naman is Routers so eto naman ang Device that is used to route packets
of data through different networks, this ensure that the data sent gets to the
correct address.

So dito namn pinpakita dito is yung Computer network so eto example nang
computer network. Like I said computer network is a set of computers that are
connected to each otheer okay. Ayan makikita nyo yung network operating
system is nagresiding on a dedicated server computer, eto naman yung cable
wiring nanagcoconect sa mga devices, yung network interface cards (NICs),
switches, and a route.

So, let's proceed to Components of networks in large companies okay so
So yung network na diniscuss ko is might be suitable for a small business.
pero pano naman yung mga large companies with many different locations and
thousands of employees? So as a firm grows and collects hundreds of small
local area networks (LANs), these networks can be tied together into a
corporate-wide networking infrastructure. So, the network infrastructure for a
large corporation consists of a large number of these small local area networks
that are linked to other local area networks and to firm-wide corporate
networks. So, hundreds of local area networks (LANs) linked to firmwide
corporate network.
So meron din tayong Various powerful servers eto yung Web site, corporate
intranet, extranet, at yung Backend systems.
At ang Mobile wireless LANs (Wi-Fi networks), Videoconferencing system,
Telephone network, Wireless cell phones.
So ayun yung mga components of networks na suitable for large companies.
