LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH

FOR GRADE 9

I. Objectives: At the end of the period, students should be able to:


A. get familiar with the marketing plan,
B. formulate a marketing plan using the assigned type of business,
C. appreciate the importance of a marketing plan in marketing the product or
services.
II. Subject Matter

Materials: Visual aid, hand-outs
III. Procedure
A. Preliminaries
1. Prayer
2. Checking of attendance
3. Review of the previous lesson
B. Activity
 The class is asked to go to their respective groups.
 Teacher gives each group a printed paper.
 Inside it is a short paragraph that contains some blank parts.
 Each group are asked to fill in the blanks from the words that are given
in the word box located at the bottom of the paragraph.
 After five minutes the teacher asks each group to exchange papers
with the other group for checking.
C. Analysis
 The teacher asks the following:
1. From the definition or paragraph that you have just answered and
checked, what do you think is our topic for today?
2. Give additional information/ideas about the marketing plan aside
from the given definition of your teacher.
D. Abstraction
The teacher discusses the marketing plan.

Marketing Plan- Product specific, market specific, or company-wide


plan that describes activities involved in achieving specific marketing
objectives within a set timeframe. A market plan begins with the
identification (through market research) of specific customer needs
and how the firm intends to fulfill them while generating an acceptable
level of return. It generally includes analysis of the current market
situation (opportunities and trends) and detailed action programs,
budgets, sales forecasts, strategies, and projected (proforma) financial
statements.
E. Appication
 Each group is given a copy of the different examples of a marketing
plan.
 Considering the business that each group is assigned to, the teacher
asks them to create their marketing plan in a 1 whole sheet of paper.

IV. Evaluation

The output of the application will serve as their evaluation.

V. Assignment
Continue the unfinished marketing plan that you are asked to do and pass it next
meeting.

understanding/ prior knowledge,
B. give possible methods/strategies for a business to be successful,
C. conform with the information presented about the indicators of a successful
business.

 The teacher asks each group to write a checklist of the indicators that a
business is successful.
 They are asked to put it in a ½ sheet of paper crosswise.
 After 5 minutes the teacher collects their outputs.
C. Analysis
The teacher asks the following questions:
1. What are the factors you have considered as bases for a successful business?
2. How are these indicators related to each other?
3. Which of these indicators is the best criterion that spells the success of your
business? Why?
D. Abstraction
The teacher discusses the Business Success Indicators
Executive Summary-Brief but comprehensive synopsis of a business plan or an
investment proposal, which highlights its key points and is generally adapted for
the external audience.
E. Application
 The students are asked to give five possible methods/strategies for a
business to be successful.
 They are asked to put it in a ½ sheet of paper crosswise.
 After 5 minutes the teacher collects their outputs.
 The teacher asks this question:
1. Do you agree with the success indicators that were discussed?
2. What benefit would you get if you know what are the business
success indicators? Explain.
IV. Evaluation
Give the three business success indicators that were discussed to you by the teacher. And
explain each of them in a one whole sheet of paper.

V. Assignment
Research about the other business success indicators that were not included in the teacher’s
discussion. Write or typewrite it in a short coupon bond.
