Chapter III

METHODOLOGY

This study presents the methods that will be used to show the conclusion

of the study to the topic, small-scale business owners’ perception regarding to

the sustainability of the marketing strategies of the business. This chapter

includes the research design that the researchers to use, the sampling technique

for the respondent and the data that is being gathered.

RESEARCH DESIGN

This research is a qualitative research and falls under the descriptive.

Descriptive design is a type of design that seek to describe a particular topic and

to compare how sub-groups view issues. Descriptive research design is a

method which involves observing and describing the behavior of a subject

without influencing it any way. Descriptive research design is a method for

researching specific subjects and design to depict the participants in an accurate

way. The researchers aim to determine the whole and detailed information about

the topic. We will seek to find the perspective of the owner, so that the

researchers will gather the most significant information that will come from the

owner itself.

RESEARCH LOCALE

This study will be conducted at Kuya Kyle’s Food Business, located 22 B

Maysan Road, Malinta, Valenzuela City. The researchers will choose this

business because it is one of the growing small-scale food businesses in

Valenzuela City where the landmark suits the customers’ taste.

SAMPLING TECHNIQUE

This study will use Purposive Sampling Technique because it will be easy

for the researchers to find the information needed for the study we will choose

the business owners as a respondents because they are the ones who have

more knowledge about their business and because of that more information that

the researchers needed will be gathered.
