I. RATIONALE:
The Career Guidance Week celebration is envisioned to prevent too much waste
of resources including time being spent in producing graduates in the tertiary level as
well as in technical vocational education who could not meet the qualification
standards in the labor market. Mismatch between 1) interest/aptitude and career; 2)
Career and labor demand; and 3) education/training and career results from
uninformed and misguided students. Furthermore, this will also provide the clientele
accurate resources and information in spending their time wisely and the school
stakeholder to work together in preparing and producing quality graduates of the

school to meet the qualification standards in the labor market as well as to equip them
in the demand of the community and the work place.

II. OBJECTIVES:
The activity aims to:
a. increase awareness of the participants on the existing career opportunities and
demands;
b. enhance the skills of the implementers in providing guidance needed by young
persons in the choice of career; and
c. increase awareness of class advisers and ESP teachers in guiding the students in
choosing a right career.
