Documentation Compliance Requirements Review of Documentation is required before starting an assignment
to ensure that the requirements of the purchase order are met. The
requirement for each client varies due to the order of precedence of
their documentation hierarchy. It is important to ensure attention is
given to documents in the order prescribed by each individual client.

ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
As the responsible Technical Specialist you are required to review all of the requirements of this assignment and
any other related documents.
Once the initial visit has been scheduled (unless already pre defined), please confirm receipt of this assignment by
email with the Issuing Intertek Project Coordinator for record purposes. If you have any questions or doubts about
any of the assignment requirements, specifications or documents, you should immediately seek clarification from
the Intertek Project Coordinator.
On acceptance of this assignment you confirm and verify the following:
(a) any vehicle you use to undertake this assignment is in a roadworthy condition in-accordance with local
legislation
(b) vehicle you use has suitable insurance cover
(c) you hold a valid driving license / permit for the vehicle in-accordance with local legislation
(d) you are medically fit to undertake this assignment
(e) you confirm during the execution of this assignment to take due consideration with respect to travel and
working time
Health and Safety
In addition to any regulations required to be observed in supplier facilities or sites, Technical Specialists shall, at all
times, wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) selected in accordance with the types of hazards involved e.g.
hard hats, safety boots / shoes, coveralls, safety glasses / goggles, gloves, ear protectors. For further information
see SOP 1201 and / or Intertek Safety Handbook.
Specification
It is the responsibility of the Technical Specialist to ensure that the required specifications / standards are
being used. Reference all relevant P.O., Drawing, Specification, Revision, Tag, Model, Serial No’s.

Instruments
Technical Specialists are prohibited from using their own instruments, gauges or meters. These are to be
provided by the supplier with a current calibration certificate.
Exclusions: Where specific client requirements exist or our scope of services include activities requiring specific
equipment, i.e. AIM, NDT, and Surveying Services, those equipments may be utilised provided that appropriate
procedures exist for the proper purchase, operations, and maintenance of the equipment.
US Nuclear Regulatory Commission 10CFR 21: Notification of Defects
If you suspect that any item of equipment that is destined for a nuclear facility in the USA is defective, contact your
Project Coordinator immediately!

This applies to you whether or not you are assigned to work on that specific item of equipment.

“Defective” means deviates from the technical requirements.
