LEAVE POLICY

The Leave Policy follows the calendar year i.e. from 1st of January to 31st of December of every year.

Leave eligibility would be on a calendar year basis and is the maximum eligibility in a year. Availing
of leave, however, can be done up to the entitlement limit. Leave sanctioning authority has the full
discretion to refuse, revoke or curtail the leave when required. All leaves will be granted keeping in
view exigencies of Company work and will be at the sole discretion of the Company. The Leave should
be planned as per timeline mentioned in this Leave Policy.

The approved leave will be considered for Payroll process. In the case of emergencies and sick leaves,
every employee will have to inform their reporting manager through call or text message. On
reporting back to office, an email should be sent to the reporting manager and hr@testyantra.com
and payroll@testyantra.com about the Leave.

An employee will be entitled for 20 leaves in a year. The Leaves consists of 15 Paid Leaves & 5 Sick
Leaves.

Leave Approval process: Employee must apply leave through ESS Portal. This is mandate. If leave
is availed without applying in ESS then the leave shall not be approved by HRD and considered as
LOP. The LOP cannot be reversed. Leaves must be planned 1 week in advance. The process for
seeking Leave approval is as follows:

Note: Employee’s deployed on projects at Client location must share email request to Client Manager
and once approved employee must apply leave in ESS Portal as well.

Please share Client approved email along with Timesheet and submit to timesheet@testyantra.com
on 25th of every month.

LEAVE ELIGIBILITY AND TERMS


 Leave Allocation: Leaves are credited on a monthly basis to the Employee. New Leave is
allocated from 1st day of the New Calendar year and is allotted monthly till 31st December of the
Current Calendar year. Employee joins in the mid of the Calendar year, the leave is allotted on
pro-rata basis.
 Leave Carry Forward: PL accumulated during the year can be carried forward to next Calendar
Year. Maximum leave that can be accumulated is 30 PL. Employee can apply for accumulated
leaves anytime during the Employment. Sick leaves will not be carried forward to the next
calendar year.
 Leave Encashment: The accumulated leaves over a period a year (Maximum 30 PL) will be
encashed upon exit from Employment. Leaves cannot be encashed during Employment. Leave
encashment is processed on Basic salary of an Employee.

 Leaves During Probationary period: Employees are entitled to avail only 2 days leave during the
probationary period. Employee can avail leave after completion of 1 month of Employment.
Once he completes the probationary period, he falls into the regular leave cycle and leaves are
allotted on prorate basis based on the date of Joining in the particular Calendar year.
 Leave During Notice Period: Employee is not eligible for leaves while serving notice period.

UN-AUTHORIZED ABSENCE
Any un-informed leave will be treated as "Loss of Pay" and may call for disciplinary action. Any absence
to work for 3 or more consecutive business days without prior information / permission will be treated
as un- authorized absence. In such a case, the Company is entitled to terminate your services and/or
seek compensation for any loss suffered by the Company or its Client due to such an absence.

EXCEPTIONS
If the employee does not have the requisite Leave balance, HR will discuss the same with the
employee and make the necessary recommendations. Management decides on comp-off of
employees on case to case basis.

BENEFITS AND ENTITLEMENTS


1. Special Grant - Paid Leave - On a special occasion, 1-day Leave would be granted to Employee, this
may be the Employee’s Birthday or Wedding Anniversary. An Employee can avail this either on his /
her Birthday or Wedding Anniversary. An email need to be shared to HR and reporting manager (Test
Yantra), one week in advance before availing this Paid Leave.
2. Maternity Leave: Female Employees are eligible for Maternity Leave after completion of 12
months of Employment in the Company, as per the Maternity Act. Employee need to meet HR
team for further information.
3. Paternity Leave: Male Employees eligible for 5 days of paternity leave. Employee need to avail this
within 1 month from the date of birth of the child. Employee need to apply for the leave, HR team
will allot additional 5-paid leaves. Employee will not be eligible for Paternity Leave during
probationary period.
4. Leave for Bereavement: An employee is entitled to use 5 leaves for family care and bereavement.
If there is an incidence of death of a family member, Employee is allotted 5 days Bereavement
which aids him to seek time for handling the situation, may it be the funeral of a family member
followed by the proceedings. Family member can be considered as relationships, including spouse;
parents; parents-in-law; children; brothers; sisters; grandparents; grandchildren; step parents;
step children.
5. Saturday & Sunday, and any National Holiday & festivals will not be counted as leave if these
are followed by a workday, or if the leave availed is in-between two holidays.
