NSTP 1

1. What is the purpose of CWTS in NSTP?

CWTS (Civic Welfare Training Service) is one of the program components under NSTP (National Service
Training Program) which also helps to enhance civic consciousness in the youth to develop ethic of
service and patriotism.

2. What is NSTP and CWTS?

NSTP - Is a under Republic Act No. 9163 which recognize the youth's capability, responsibility and vital
role to develop a nation. The RA No. 9163 also promotes the civic consciousness and develop their
patriotism, nationalism, and their involvement in civic and public affairs.

CWTS - It is a program of activities made to serve the general welfare, safety or betterment of life to the
community who're also devoted to improving safety, education, environment, health, entrepreneurship,
and morals of the public.

3. What are the activities NSTP CWTS?

From its name National Service and Civic Welfare, we can conclude that the activities involve the welfare
of the general public.

This includes:

- Public cleaning

- Literacy training for both the adults and children

- Helping to arrange the Public Programs

- Direct involvement in barangay/regional projects

- Donation of the basic needs of the community

4. How can NSTP CWTS students serve the community

There could be a joint project of the students between barangays or cities that could well benefit the
general public such as donation of books to both children and adults, joint cleaning in schools,
universities, barangay facilities etc., and helping to arrange the public program such as community
meeting, festivals etc.
6. What is the management of the NSTP components?

Each component of the NSTP programs must be undertaken for an academic period of 2 semesters. The
allotted time to be completed in NSTP classes must be between 54 - 90 hours.

7. What is the national Reserve CORP?

NSRP or National Service Reserve Corp was under the Republic Act No. 9163 in order to provide a
trained, motivated, and organized manpower reserve that can be tapped by the State for DRRM, civic
welfare, literacy, national emergency, environmental protection and other similar endeavors in the
service of the nation.

8-10. Write an assay on how you can responsible citizen of our country.

I can be a responsible citizen by religiously obeying the laws of the country, in addition to that, I
can participate in community projects involving the welfare of the community. It's important to
participate because in the end people will be the one benefiting from it and that includes me. I think
being a responsible citizen isn't that hard and must not be hard, given that a community is a diverse
collection of individuals who have different needs and different personalities, majority of us can, at
least, comply with the laws in our country. By participating in barangay projects, we can also help
provide materials and needs of both adults and children which results to a more happy and comfortable
community.
