Activity 2: 

1. What are the changes brought on by the use of technology?


 Nowadays, there are a lot of changes brought by the use of technology. One
example is it makes communication faster and easier. You can save time and
money using technology to communicate and reach other people. Second, it
makes the spreading of important information faster. Lastly, it makes our life
faster and easier with the help of a lot of new and high-tech inventions.

2. How does technology affect you or as part of daily life?


 Technology really affects my daily life. Because right now, I use it for my
online class. Without technology, I wouldn’t be able to attend my online classes
and submit my activities and assignments on time. I also use technology on
other purposes like gathering information, research, and communicating to my
family and friends. Technology is very useful in my life as a student.

3. What is a computer

 A computer is a machine or device that performs processes, calculations and


operations based on instructions provided by a software or hardware program. It
has the ability to accept data (input), process it, and then produce outputs.
Computers can also store data for later uses in appropriate storage devices, and
retrieve whenever it is necessary.

4. Define the ff. computer system:

* Software - Software comprises the entire set of programs, procedures, and routines


associated with the operation of a computer system.
* Hardware - Computer hardware refers to the physical parts of a computer and related
devices. Internal hardware devices include motherboards, hard drives, and RAM.
External hardware devices include monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, and scanners.
* System Unit - A system unit is the part of a computer that houses the primary devices
that perform operations and produce results for complex calculations. It includes the
motherboard, CPU, RAM and other components, as well as the case in which these
devices are housed. This unit performs the majority of the functions that a computer is
required to do.
* Peripheral devices - Peripheral device, also known as peripheral, computer
peripheral, input-output device, or input/output device, any of various devices (including
sensors) used to enter information and instructions into a computer for storage or
processing and to deliver the processed data to a human operator or, in some cases,
a machine controlled by the computer. Such devices make up the peripheral equipment of
modern digital computer systems.
