RATIONALE:
English is a means of communication in certain everyday activities and certain job
situations. In today’s world, Learning language is becoming more and more important. It
provides an additional access to academic, professional and recreational materials. In addition to
opening up employment opportunities, being able to speak a foreign language helps to make a
real connection with people and to know more about diverse cultures, places and lifestyles. The
more proficient you are, the better you can express yourself.

I wish to develop and teach an English learning program in our Brgy. Langka Palayan
City Nueva Ecija. I believe that it will help the youth to improves their communications skills.
The English language is a common language used in most countries in our era making it vital for
people who are not English speakers to learn it and enjoy the benefits of the rise of globalization.
English grammar is taught in schools from as early as the first grade. However, the focus is on
the language’s grammar and not how to communicate in it. Students learn to create
grammatically correct sentences and pass the tests given but they find it very difficult to
communicate using the language. The education sector must have identified this problem and is
incorporating teaching how to converse in the English language within the curriculum of formal
schools.

OBJECTIVES:
1. To improve the communication skills of learners that will enable them to effectively
communicate using the English Language in English speaking.
2. Oral reading must be developed for correct pronunciation and intonation.
3. To help students increase their language proficiency through teaching materials that can
enrich and consolidate learning.
4. To help the students learn the basic grammar
