    Rationale:
    Fresh fish rapidly deteriorates unless some way can be found to preserve it. Drying is a method of
    food preservation that works by removing water from the food, which inhibits the growth of
    microorganisms. Open air using sun and wind has been practiced since ancient times to preserve food.
    The oldest traditional way of preserving fish was to let the wind and sun dries it (Wikipedia). Drying is
    known as the world’s oldest method of preservation. Any kind of fish can be dried.
    Amidst this pandemic, I suggest to work out this project to help the learners find source of income
    to avoid fish wastage.

    Objectives and Strategies

    The following are the objectives of the project proposal:

    1. Orient the learners and parents about the project PRE-serve (Parents Received Educators
    Service).
    2. Create an online tutorial for Grade 6 learners of Cuyo Miller School on the process of fish
    drying and its proper packaging.
    3. Increase the production of dried fish for the market.
     
    The strategies are listed below to carry out the project proposal:

    1. Conduct orientation on the project PRE-serve (Parents Received Educators Service).


    2. Collaborative efforts of teachers, parents and learners in the implementation of the project.
    3. Identify fish supplier for the proposed project.
