A tally of the survey questions using always, sometime, rarely, and never as the choices for
respondents’ answer.

Table 1 shows the number of statements and answers with its corresponding

percentage. There are thirty respondents who answered the research

questionnaires. In number one, of the respondents strongly agreed that this

organization can deepen their understanding of God’s love to humans.

Furthermore, 9 of the respondents strongly agreed that this organization has


the power to strengthen the participants’ faith in God. However in number

three, only 3 of the respondents strongly agreed that being a part of this

organization can make you a good model to other youth. In number four, 8

respondents strongly agreed that participating in the activities of the

organization is their way of showing their devotion to the Lord. Nine of the

respondents strongly agreed that being a part of this organization can

strengthen one’s trust in God. In number six, 7 out of 10 respondents

strongly agreed that they are filled with God’s grace. In number seven, 9 of

the respondents strongly agreed that they have experienced God within them

as they joined the organization. In number eight, 8 of the respondents

strongly agreed that participating in this organization can help the youth gain

more knowledge of God. Meanwhile, in number nine, only 4 of the

respondents strongly agreed that being an active member of this

organization can make the youth a responsible person. In number ten, 9 of

the respondents strongly agreed that joining in this organization can

completes ones spiritual needs especially the youths.

These are the graphical representation of the tally in Table 1. The data

collected are from the quantitative part of the survey.

Figure 1 shows that 56.67% of the respondents answered sometimes,

33.33% of the respondents answered always, 6.67% of the respondents

answered rarely and the remaining 3.33% answered never. This means most

of the respondents sometimes think of the negative effect of the gadgets that

might harm them someday.

Figure 2 shows 63.27% of the respondents answered sometimes, 26.67% of

the respondents answered always , 6.67% of the respondents answered


rarely and the remaining 3.33% answered never. This means, most of the

respondents sometimes think to use a phone/device.

In studying, I would bring my gadget(s) with me.

Figure 3 shows 63.33%of the respondents answered never, 6.67% of the

respondents answered rarely, 6.67%of the respondents answered always

and the 23.33% answered sometimes. This means, most of the respondents

never bring a gadget with them while studying.

Figure 4 shows that 40% of the respondents answered never, 26.67% of the

respondents answered sometimes,23.33% of the respondents answered


rarely and 10% answered always. This means, most of the respondents

never use a laptop when doing a project/assignment.

Figure 5 shows that 39.96% of the respondents answered always, 33.33% of

the respondents answered sometimes, 23.33% of the answered never and

3.33% answered rarely. This means, most of the respondents always think of

the possible outcome when they overuse a gadget.

Figure 6 shows that 46.67% of the respondents answered

sometimes,23.33% of the respondents answered always,16.67% of the

respondents answered never and 13.33% answered rarely. This means,


most of the respondents get easily distracted of gadgets while practicing

some school related performances.

I was able to use my gadgets in looking answers for my


assignment instead of a book.

Figure 7 shows that 53.33% of the respondents answered sometimes, 30%

of the respondents answered never and 16.67% answered rarely. This

means, most of the respondents sometimes prefer to use a gadget rather

than a book when doing an assignment.

Figure 8 shows that 66.67% of the respondents answered sometimes,

26.67% of the respondents answered never and 6.67% answered rarely.


This means, most of the respondents sometimes prefer to use a gadget

rather than a book when studying.

Figure 9 shows that 56.67% of the respondents answered sometimes, 20%

of the respondents answered always,13.33% of the respondents answered

rarely and 10% answered never. This means, most of the respondents

sometimes tried searching on reliable sources on their phone.

Figure 10 shows that 33.33% of the respondents answered sometimes and

never,20% of the respondents answered rarely and 13.33% answered


always.This means some of the respondents were sometimes allowed to

borrow a gadget from their parents and some of the respondents were

allowed to borrow a gadget to their parents.

This is the graphical data of the responses of the respondents to the three

qualitative questions.

Figure 11 shows the respondents’ answers to the first qualitative

questions. The question asks the respondents’ main purpose of joining the

said organization. It can be observe in the graph that 4 out 10 of the

respondents answered that their main purpose was to know more about the

Lord. They wanted to expound their knowledge and know the truth. They also

added that they does not want to question God’s existence and wanted to
prevent confusion between the beliefs of the elders and what the Gospel

teaches. Some of the participants said that being able know more about God

can help them find their true purpose in this world so that they will be able to

help improve and spread God’s word in this society that is becoming a mess.

Second leading answer is to be closer to the Lord. The respondents believed

that this organization will help them to get closer to the Lord. A participant

said that this is because getting closer to the Lord is the only way of salvation

especially in this kind of community where the new technologies are the daily

basis of living. They said that this organization were able to allow them to

have an intimate connection with Him through the different practices the

organization teaches. The next leading answer is to deepen the youths’ trust

in the Lord. The participants wanted to have a deeper and firmer trust in God

and they did it by joining the YFC community. The respondents also stated

that the organization was able to help them deeper their trust through the

different talks given as they join the organization. In this way, the youth will

learn and able to trust in the Lord and His plans. The remaining respondent’s

main purpose of joining this organization is to strengthen his/her faith in God.

He/she said that having a stronger faith can will help him/her experience a

fruitful religious youth life and become bearing witness of the truth which is

the Lord.
Differentiate your spirirtual life before and after you became a member of this
organization. Is there any improvement? Why did you say so?

The respondents’ answers to the second qualitative question is shown

in Figure 12. The second qualitative question asked the respondents about

their spiritual life. Asking if they notice any improvement or not and why they

were able to say so. All of them agreed and said that they have notice

changes not only in their spiritual life but also in their daily living. Before they

became a part of the YFC organization, majority of the respondents said that

they were lost and keeps on disappointing their parents. There are also a few

of them said that they do not know how to pray. Others also stated that they

were not that faithful and are distant from the Lord. And that they only believe

of what others told them without even comprehending. A respondent also

said that he/she was an agnostic, someone who does not really believe that

God existed. But as they became a member of this organization, they were

able to say that they really changed. And this is because of the activities the

organization offers. The respondents said that they were now capable of
praying and become more prayerful than before. They believe in God and

have stronger faith and trust in Him. Some said that they were able to make

their parents proud and can overcome temptations unlike before where they

get easily distracted. Others also stated that they became active members of

the Church as they became active members of the organization. One of them

even said that this organization are not only changing the youth but also

forming them to become a missionary of Christ.

Will joining in this organization help improve our society and change the
youth's way of living? How?

The answers of the respondents to the third qualitative questions are

shown on the 13th Figure. The researchers asked the respondents if there

are any chances that the YFC organization will be able to help the youth and

improve the society they are living. All of the respondents agreed to the given

question. Majority of them stated that joining in the organizations helps the

youth to become responsible, faithful and God-fearing citizens of the

community. They will be kinder, loving and forgiving people. Upon joining, the

youth will be introduced to the Lord and will be taught about the things He
wanted His people to do. Some stated that they will be disciplined because

they will have the YFC mentally which is thinking they are a YFC and should

be good models. Others also said that the youth who will be joining are

convinced to take the path of Christ and spread the good news in words and

deeds. They also added that the organization has teachings that are rooted

to the teachings of Christ and also advocacies and identities that are worth

spreading that can bring change to the society.
