I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

● Project/Course Title : COMMUNITY EXTENSION SERVICES PROGRAM

Rationale: Lack of skills application is one of the visible problems in our curriculum at present. One
of the most affected is the TLE subject because it is a skills-based subject. In the desire of the
proponents to alleviate this problem, they decided to propose a program called “ Community
Extension Services Program” which aims to give EIM students the opportunity to apply what they
have learned to the community by fixing broken circuit breaker, installing extension and light bulbs,
conducting electrical awareness and helping in electrical matters when the community has an event
with supervision and guidance of the teacher, PALECO personnel in accordance with the occupational
health and safety embodied in the electrical code of the Philippines.

Objectives and Strategies

The following are the objectives of the project proposal:

1. To be able to practice and apply the skills that the students learned.
2. To prepare students in the workplace and to value life and work skills.
3. To develop camaraderie between the school and the community.
 
The strategies are listed below to carry out the project proposal:

1. Meeting with the parents and the EIM students.


2. Coordinate with the Community/Barangay Officials.

3. Meeting with the Heads of PALECO.


4. Coordinate with the PTA officials for funding.
5. Donation and Fund-raising activities.
6. Finalize and Submit the proposal for the implementation.
7. Capacitate EIM students to the skills required for the project.
8. Give rewards and appreciation to the EIM students and teachers.
