    Describe what does a teacher do when she engages herself purely in


    "teaching for testing"? How does this affect students learning?

    ANSWER: That's bad.Testing is not the main aim.Students are tested to


    find out how much they have understood and remember what they have been
    taught.It's not an end in itself.Students need to gain knowledge and skills in
    the various fields of learning.This will enable to use the skills in their
    present and future lives.Studying just in order to pass exams fails in this
    issue.Students therefore don't study seriously and try to find means just to
    score marks!

    ANSWER: Higher-order thinking teach students to use a step-by-


    step method for solving problems. This way of higher-order thinking will
    help them solve problems faster and more easily. Encourage students to
    use alternative methods to solve problems as well as offer them different
    problem-solving methods. It also lead students through the process of
    how to connect one concept to another. By doing this you are teaching
    them to connect what they already know with what they are learning. This
    level of thinking will help students learn to make connections whenever it
    is possible, which will help them gain even more understanding.

    1.      Good Demonstrators are not easy to find. Considerable skills are required
    to give good demonstration.
    2.      The demonstration method is restricted to only certain kinds of teaching
    situations. Some teachers try to use it where other methods would be better.
    3.      The “Result” type of demonstration may take considerable time and be
    rather expensive.
    4.      Demonstration may require a large amount of preliminary preparation.
    5.      There is a danger of students being dishonest when teacher has to play
    the main role in the demonstration of topic.
